12月21日に『MC☆あくしず59号』が発売されます！

”MC☆Akushizu No. 59" will be released on December 21!

今回の特集は「海上自衛隊の艦艇 フリートガールズ同好会」ということで海上自衛隊の各艦艇を解説しました。

This year's special feature was "Maritime Self-Defense Force Ships," and I described each of the Maritime Self-Defense Force ships.

ぼくの担当した艦艇は9種類です。

ディフォルメしてありますが、各艦の全長は実際の比率に合わせて描きました。

本誌では各艦の大きさの違いなども見てもらえると楽しいと思います。

There are nine types of ships that I worked on.

Although they are deformed, I drew the length of each ship according to the actual ratio.

I think it would be fun if you could see the differences in the size of each ship in the magazine.

ほかにも支援艦艇や南極観測船も本誌ではしっかり解説されます。

そして今回は訓練支援艦てんりゅうの擬人化イラストも担当しました。

And this time, I was also in charge of the anthropomorphic illustration of the training support ship Tenryu.

帆走船の初代から数えて三代目のてんりゅうです。艦これで名前を知っている方も多いと思います。こちらもお楽しみに！

This is the third generation of Tenryu, counting from the first generation of sailing ships. Many of you may know her name from this ship. I hope you enjoy this one too!

海上自衛隊の艦艇を取り扱う書籍では戦闘艦をテーマにする本が多く、意外と支援艦まで解説しているものは多くはありません。本誌では普段はあまり取り上げられないそれらの艦艇までしっかり解説してあるので便利な特集になっていると思います。

Many books dealing with Maritime Self-Defense Force ships focus on combat ships, and surprisingly, not many of them cover support ships. I think this magazine is a useful feature because it provides a thorough explanation of those ships that are not usually covered.

ちなみに古くから軍港である呉には停泊中の艦艇を間近に見ることができる遊覧船があったります。海から見る船というのもなかなか面白いのでオススメです。

今回は遊覧船から撮影したちょっと珍しい艦艇の写真を少しだけ紹介します。

掃海母艦ぶんご(MST-464) Sea Sweeping Mothership"Bungo"

艦体中央部の大きなリールが特徴です。

It features a large reel in the center of the ship.

ぶんごの艦尾。大きなハッチが並んでいて揚陸艦のような艦尾です。

音響測定艦ひびき(AOS-5201) Sound Measurement Vessel"Hibiki"

本誌で詳しく解説されますが、非常に秘匿性の高い任務を行う艦艇です。

「ひびき」という艦名は非常に良い名前だなと思います。

This ship, which will be explained in detail in this magazine, is a very secretive mission ship.The name "Hibiki" means "Echo”.

敷設艦むろと(ARC-483) Cable laying ship"Muroto"

こちらも秘匿性の高い任務を行う艦艇です。

ケーブルや水中聴音監視装置を海底に敷設する艦艇です。

This is also a ship that performs highly secretive missions.

It is a ship that lays cables and underwater listening and monitoring equipment on the seabed.

ケーブルを敷設するための独特な艦尾をしています。

日本近海には潜水艦や水上艦の動向を探るための水中聴音網が張り巡らされ、周辺海域の警戒を行っています。それら活動の支援を行う艦艇です。

なかなか活動中の姿は見ることができませんが、先日放映されたNHKスペシャルではその活動の一端が映像に捉えられていました。

It has a unique stern for laying cables.

In the waters around Japan, underwater listening nets have been set up to detect the movements of submarines and surface ships, and to keep a watchful eye on the surrounding waters. These naval vessels support these activities.

It is not easy to see them in action, but the NHK special broadcast the other day captured some of their activities on film.
