Video! New keys in the next post!
Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the delay on the video! I'm putting this out at all levels because it doesn't really go into any development stuff, and is more-or-less just an update blog of sorts. I didn't have any new software or animation footage that I wanted to use for this so I grabbed my phone and just went on a walk in the middle of the night while I did it.

I'll be working on continuing to answer emails and getting stuff done as I can, but this transition is definitely eating up the majority of my time. I'm definitely getting tons done (hundreds of emails and messages sent out over the last two days) but there are still a lot to do. Personally moving 1,200 people to a new service one-by-one is very time consuming, though I've enjoyed talking to people I haven't talked to a long time <3. So many people on Patreon haven't heard from me in weeks due to the post-blocking going on that I've had a lot of talking to do. It's going to be a game of catch up for at least the next few days but I'll keep everyone updated on everything just like I always do <3 I'm working to get everything resolved ASAP so I can get back to development instead of answering emails and setting up stuff all day.
So here's what's new today!
On SubscribeStar I've renamed (or will shortly rename) the tiers to what they are on Gumroad to increase clarity between the tiers. I've made minor modifications to the descriptions of things as well, but nothing has changed.
Launcher 2.21 is up on the servers, so the next time you start the Besti launcher it'll grab it. 2.21 has the following changes:
- Removed the Patreon-specific changes they told me to make, because those changes were countermanded by a different staffer at Patreon.
- Reduced CPU use on the key screen.
- Removed the "New Friend" visual indicator for that security level. This is always on no matter what, so I've removed it to make the interface easier to understand.
- Changed the wording for "New Friend" tagged entitites to say "Unlocked for everyone <3"
- Re-added the Besti 9 demo that I had to remove for Patreon.
- Changed the NSFW key to be the "Fan" key.
- Reduced CPU use on the download screen.
- Separated the Extreme Content key to unlock content specific to the Extreme Content tier rather than being a higher level key than Producer. This is so it can be a separate entity so you don't need to be a producer to have the key. While there is overlap between interest in the types of content, this will permit new folks who are exclusively interested in realistic content to get that without getting pony/furry content at the same time.
- Created a new key class called the Ultros Key for people on SubscribeStar. This is a skeleton key that unlocks everything.

Paypal's available now and I know that will be a big help to a lot of folks.
I made tons of edits to the websites we use, including Patreon. I firmly believe they're going to delete my account, but who knows.
I've also added the ability to get a standalone Extreme Content key, which is kind of a new product concept when it's off by itself like this. Folks at the Ultros tier on SubscribeStar get all the content in that classification, but if you don't want to be a producer and still want more realistic content, that's going to be an option shortly. I'll have a standalone program that fits in that category as soon as I can, and once that's ready is when I'll put that out (should be in May). I was intending on having something new in there this week, but Patreon happened (again.) I'm sorry that isn't there now.
