So, i need to make a tough decision.
This has been bugging me for a while, I couldn't figure out why it was taking longer to finish stories. I've realized that it was the larger image size for frames I'm now using.
I recently committed to a larger 1910x1080 resolution size for all renders when I bought a larger monitor, and this is affecting my workflow from before, when i could average 12-20 frames per day before narration, now it's much less and I'm struggling to fulfill a weekly goal that was once achievable.. this is definitely going to remain a problem until bitcoin mining frees up some heavy GPU cards.
It's not quite as simple as waiting longer for the render to de-noise, as i also lose window space for editing. It's hard to follow as you rarely see anything other than the finished product.
It's up to you to decide on this - whether you want more images or higher detail. I'd still be doing full 1920 for key scenes but i think there would be a benefit in keeping a lower resolution for most scenes.
TOI: Special delivery Episode 4 estimate:
I always get this wrong, but Tuesday's looking good! Finger's crossed!
