Armageddon Expo (Patreon)

I was recently announced as a guest at Auckland Armageddon 2018 in New Zealand in October

This is my first guest appearance outside Australia and only the second international con I have been to, the first being Manchester MCM just over a year ago when I was on a family holiday in Europe.

Armageddon like Supanova until recently didn't have a photowall for cosplayers and from what I hear have similar policies regarding photographers and light stands.

A while ago Cyren, a NZ photographer contacted me asking questions about my photowall at Supanova and the one at OCC that has multiple photographers doing 2-hour slots over the weekend because he had been trying to work with Armageddon to do something similar.

Well he must have made some headway because he talked Armageddon into providing the space for me if he raised the expenses to get me over. So Cyren did photoshoots, sold merchandise and took donations that raised the funds they needed. In the end it will still probably cost me a bit but less than going to a normal con in AU and it's an opportunity I can pass up, and also perfect time as this time next year I doubt it will be something I could undertake.

It is the weekend before PAX though so I fly back on the Wednesday and out to Melbourne on the Thursday.
