Taking the Hammer like a God W.I.P (Patreon)

Hello gentle Patrons!

You may remember my frist picture of Thor Ragnarok from may 2018? (you can see it here: ->  https://twitter.com/f0_star/status/1069705829715185665 ) Back then his model was just complete useless.. I mean for real... Well I was working a bit on his mesh over the time but never had the time to finish what I started.

Since few weeks I'm slowly keeping up with meshmodding again since theres also a giant lack of MCU or MARVEL 3D models which I could use.

Blessing enough I found a low quality Thor Model which was quite ok to work with. This was how the first pic was done using that model, however as I said earlier his model was unusable - he didn't even had 3D eyes so.. yea...

In the Thor Movie Chris Hemsworth is the portrayer of Thor so I was working on the base mesh to make it more look like him...

So please take a look:

Mesh front - low poly - no texture

After few tweeks I managed to change his profile and gave him more characteristics:

Now the hardest part: making a new texture from scratch. The UV layout for this model really sucks since it's mirroring the half of the texture to the other side of the mesh - this gives you mostly a "doll" like effect when textures applied so I needed some "tricks" to get around this issue.

Heres a preview with the flat texture applied:

Well the base texture is done but still looks a bit flat so I made some normal maps:

At this point he still didn't had eyes. this was the most complicated part for me since XNALara requires it's own special scripts to load a 3D model for posing and if you don't meet the "technical-requirements" for that script your 3D model wont load into XNA and thats what happend the most time for me.

I was about to give up on this model and the whole project since it took a lot of time and didn't seem to turn out successful but then things changed on a single fateful day...

BOOM suckasss! hehe there he goes! Finally managed to give him posable eyes and teeth at the same time! It felt like giving birth since I never had such a heavy hitter as a 3D model like him hehe.

So since his model is finally working... I was thinking about... something... small.. for.. uhm.. "testing purposes of course"

Well I'm working on it and finally there goes more 3D Thor smut!
