Bandicoot Christmas Morning (Patreon)

It's Christmas morning in the Bandicoot house! Crash is enjoying his new game he got from his brother, while Tiny Tiger is rudely awoken by the sounds of the TV & Crash's slurping on Crunch's dick. ;3

This is a little something I drew for Anti-Dev as sort of an early Christmas present. Instead of fanart of his characters, I thought I'd try something different and asked him about what kind of Rule34 character he'd like to see me draw.

When he picked Crash Bandicoot I was a little nervous at first, as I'm not that familiar with the character. I only played a bit of the Crash Bandicoot N' Sane trilogy remaster and didn't really get into it. So I wasn't sure if I could pull off a character that I didn't have much of a connection with.

So I sat down and looked through a lot of official material of Crash and the other characters, to try and find a good visual reference. I started sketching and tried to fuse their original design with my own style. Afterwards, I looked up fanart of various furry artists, to see how they had portrayed them. (I didn't do this initially, as I didn't want to risk just copying someone else's style.) Seeing how other artists drew them, I altered a few details here and there from iterations that appealed to me.

I was honestly a little shocked at how well this process worked. I had done fanart before, where I went through the same process, but which would turn out to be a huge pain to get right. This time however, I immediately liked my renditions of the three and could go through the rest of the picture normally, without any issues. It also gave me some extra time to add some more details in the background. I really like how it came out and overall this was a very fun experience. :3

I'm considering doing more fanart in the future, possibly through suggestions or polls. We'll see! :3
