Maxie passing the time until his date arrives, by perusing online shops for new things to buy. Ever since he started doing live cam sessions, his follower count really took off, earning him a nice income. He's also grown way more confident in the way he presents himself, fully embracing his lifestyle and sexuality.

Oh me and my inability to leave pictures unfinished...this was supposed to be "just a quick sketch", after having a bit of a restless day with no creative energy. I ended up focusing on this idea because I wanted to try a few things. Maxie is a character that has made only rare appearances in the past, as I struggle with the portrayal of femboy characters a lot. 

I always try to let myself get inspired by a lot of great artist, that pull off the more feminine look perfectly, but it always makes me feel like I can't quite get there. And whenever I do crash and return to my usual art style, I leave a picture unsatisfied, knowing I missed my goal again.

It was the same process with this one, although I was able to salvage quite a lot through the design of it. There were a lot of things I had in mind from the very beginning like the hairstyle, the jockstrap, the expression, the makeup, etc. And fighting the voice in my head, that told me to do things differently, is actually what kept me going. I kept hearing the same criticisms like "That hairstyle makes no sense, how would you cut fur that short?" and it made me take control of the picture more. I know some people won't like it and I'm fully okay with that. I've apologized enough for my pictures in the past. And it's time I stop doing that. 

Overall, drawing this was very therapeutical for me, because it made me realize that subconsciously, I had done exactly what I've set out to do this year: Draw more character building pictures that are not necessarily pure porn. And I've grown the character of Maxie to a point where I definitely want to draw him more, now that I've established a new style for him that I really like.

So yeah, despite this being a relatively quick picture, it still had a huge impact on me, which I think is good.
