As a violinist, I can confirm that the cut sleeve explanation makes almost no sense, unless you’re wearing the most ballooned out sleeves known to man. It especially doesn’t make sense with the dress shirts/jackets commonly used in classical performances. If that’s really the reason for the “half” sleeve, he’s the only one I know who does that.

I think on top of making his occasional fumble with Korean into a charm, his somewhat limited vocabulary makes him come across as a lot more straight-forward and blunt than he normally would be, which just makes the flirting and confidence even bolder lol.
