when my friends and I do the fanchant, we prounouce it as "fuma"

the japanese H sound in fuma isn’t exactly like the english H sound, so the romanization is kind of halfway between the two. it’s like, if you pronounced it with a hard F it wouldn’t be exactly right, but pronouncing it with an english H wouldn’t be right either, so neither is really perfect. anyway i say fuma with an english F sound and just remember that it’s not Exactly right lol.

The romanization of the Japanese ふ (フ) is always fu and never hu. If you would write the alphabet ist would be はひふへほ which romanized would be ha hi fu he ho. But the sound is something between an h and an f. There’s a tissue technique to train this exact sound. At least we did it in our Japanese class. (I’m not a native but I study Japanese studies and Japanese for almost 5 years now 😅) hope that helped 😅😅

The venue was Tokyo Garden Theater (maximum capacity 8,000 or so) and the MC man is a well known newscaster with one of the national TV networks here in Japan, who's definitely not as dignified and serious as Walter Cronkite but does read non-entertainment news. Also, the F issue, as a native Japanese speaker with the same "fu/hu" sound in my name, I think it's ok to pronounce it either way when you are speaking English. Like someone else already said in this comment section, the Japanese hu/fu sound is technically not the same sound as the English H or F anyway. It's a romanization rule where we just don't write "hu." Technically, his name is also actually three syllables "FU/HU" "U" "MA" (ふうま), but the romanization rule is that we are to omit the second syllable in these cases. So, I'd say don't worry too much about it, because either pronunciation is ok, in my humble opinion!

the trauma that is the stray kids survival show wasn't as nice as &audition🥴. it wasn't really a question of if they would debut but how many members of the original 9 of them would make it to the final group. the eliminations took out lee know and felix... though they thank GOD came back (obviously) in the final episode. also rj, i'm not sure if you guys are going to react to their most recent single "War Cry" at some point but if you thought Nicholas was a problem now... oh girl...

speaking of jhope and &t, it was revealed a few months ago that when k didn't make it on iland, jhope told him personally that k's abilities and dancing was the best and to not give up, and that was a huge motivator for him to go on........let's go armylunés

As much as I love gaku and would have loved for him to debut, if it came down to him and fuma, I think they had to pick fuma. He really balances out the team and is a great supporting member. Plus K needed someone close to his age

&audition wasn't the most engaging or memorable survival show, but I had fun watching it for the first time with your reactions. I'm very happy I got introduced to &team, because their discography is great, I love their dynamics and also ej has the sweetest smile ever (unfortunately).

Gaku and Hikaru (stage name haku) are currently active under the pre-debut hybe labels japan boy group 24kumi / 24組. The group consists of 8 members Yuju, Shin, Ruka, Gaku, Haku, Kyosuke, Kaiji, and Reo. someone already recommended this on a previous video, but for anyone reading I want to reiterate that the 'Naissance de &TEAM' video is such a good companion piece to the finale. It starts with them going backstage after the finale ends, and in 20 minutes takes the viewer through their first moments as a group, the intense mixed emotions, their first press conference, their post-finale photo shoot with Enhypen and Harua being all giddy as a Jungwon stan, lol.... How is it that we always have the same thoughts on performances?? Lol I feel so reassured in my reactions now haha I agree in that there was something off about Gaku in this performance. Like he wasn't at his best for sure and seemed more stiff than usual (at least in expressions) and I'm saying that with him as my P01. But for Harua and Jo this was literally their best performance so their scores made a lot of sense to me. Especially from the guest producers. And yeah fam I watched this at 2am so that last hour was rough 😭 Anyways welcome, Luné 🌙💕😊

As a sympathetic crier this finale seemed to have no end. That audience was unflappable. 3.000 highly emotional speeches and they cut to someone clapping with one tear prettily rolling down their cheek. Meanwhile I'm in my living room wailing like I'd just lost a pet. I'm so happy precious boy Hikaru is getting another chance of debuting (and with Gaku), but after watching this show and suffering through Fantasy Boys, it's so wild, that a massive talent like Junwon still hasn't.

I enjoyed watching this with you in real time, I didn't watch this show when it aired even though EJ was one of my top in I-land. When I saw you talk through the subs that said Junwon was performing in vocal only due to an injury I was like "Adam and RJ are going to be so confused when they see him because they weren't paying attention! That's why there is a back up dancer, the injury must have been recent that they couldn't redo the formation and/or the stunts didn't work without all of the members? Not sure, but I am so glad you liked this show, I feel like &team is more underrated and less active than other groups!

You guys should definitely watch "Naissance de &Team" (its on their YT channel) it follows them right after the finale ends and what they do right after for the next day its really emotional and gives a good behind the scenes look at them right after they were formed.

So my take is if I am talking about him, it's Fuma, but if I was talking to him directly I would use Huma. I love reactor lore btw. The way Adam and I rolled our eyes at the same time lol! They did look excited to see the members debut, especially Ni-Ki. I had forgotten about RM being there. I feel like he was trying to keep a low profile and they pointed him out right away lol! Gurl! RPWP is the breakup album! And that is cannon! I love Melody!!! She is so sweet. Ugh! Combo punch of Nico and Fuma in this song had me melting. Fuma became bias #3 on this day lol! The chair of shame lol! But he did his best to give face during his parts. If I remember correctly it was a last minute injury that kept him out, so there was no time for anything. They just put his person from the video in his place. I really hate the overlap of the transition of Zico's comments. It's annoying. I'm sorry but did you not see Fuma make a seat of his knee for K?!?!?!!? Like Fuma had to be in this group! The way I burst into tears! Jo had the most points from the producers where he was like not the high with fan voting. Or at least when I checked the rankings. Yuma is so freaking loud! Like manito, why? Okay I can finally say it. Gaku and Hikaru passed their trials to debut in HJL 2nd boy group. There are a few more members now and it's called 24kumi. They have a few videos out, but we have had radio silence since like April or May. I'm assuming they are creating the full group, but honestly no clue. Hayate decided to quit the business. He had an insta for a bit, but I think that is gone too. Listen, I will happily take an hour of speeches from everyone and their mother over waiting 10 minutes for the next winner/member to be called. I happily sat through all this except for 🛴and loved every minute of it. Oh I had forgotten the campaign to debut all 15 together. The behind the scenes of the show are sooo cute!! I hope you guys watch that too. Producer Soma has give us some of the most beautiful songs! My binge is over now lol! Happy 4th of July! When the rest of the world uses it as a drinking holiday lol!

So, I over all enjoyed &Audition, but I hate pretty much everything about this finale (except Running With the Pack, that choreo rules) and Gaku not making it in even with a 40% producer pick will forever be a tragedy. But! &Team is the most interesting group in Kpop right now (it's Kpop, it just happens to be in japanese, whatever). I am so obsessed with them. I'm convinced that they are the Seventeen of this generation. I've been with you guys on YouTube since the Boy's Planet Days (in your first ever q&a I asked about Friedrich's name), and was planning to just stay over there, but I got on the Patreon to see you watch &Audition.
