Its time to Highlight the Xenosaur Beastmaster,

--The Beastmaster Clan–

Long ago the Skull Hunters first encountered the Omegas.

It was a desperate day indeed, and tales of it have been told ever since.

While returning from a scouting mission in deep space, a group of veteran Hunters discovered a mysterious science station on a silent planetoid and cautiously landed to investigate. As they explored, they rightfully identified the technology within as very ancient and advanced, made by a culture unknown to them, and set to work plundering all they could.

Their efforts awoke the station's security systems, silent guardians resting for millennia.

The resulting battle was legendary,

By this point in their history, the Hunters had achieved dominance over all prey they found throughout the galaxy, but these foes were unique and many on both sides fell in the bloody battle. The Omegas were impressive, diverse in appearance and weaponry, and utterly unshaken by the Hunter's combat prowess.
They appeared without warning from tears in the fabric of reality, apparently having gained mastery over space and time as well as bio-engineering.

A prominent Elder sacrificed themselves while sabotaging an immense and powerful Cosmic Gate so that the rest could flee with the stolen secrets. Their wounded ship limped into space, pushing every system to the limit to escape the pursuing Omega vessels as the facility folded in on itself and vanished, the Elder gone forever.

Despite such immense loss, the few remaining Hunters quickly decided to evacuate another of their number, knowing the significance of a discovery of this magnitude. Though gravely injured, this honorable Elder protested being sent away even as the pod was sealed, such was the camaraderie of the hunting party.

The single small craft launched silently towards their homeworld moments before the Hunter ship was finally shot down over a lush jungle planet..

For weeks the survivors attempted to repair their wrecked ship, while being continuously attacked by the remaining Omega warriors. They bore no illusions as to their fate, but set about with more than simply survival.

Under the resolute leadership of the final remaining Elder, the Hunters mounted impressive counter-assaults, despite the odds. Various mega-lizards populated the planet, much like earth's Jurassic period, and the Hunters tamed some through great effort, and yet more losses.
This new leader had been a successful beast master on their homeworld, training Hunters in the use of the Hounds and Hellhound Ligers in battle for centuries

The two small forces traded blows in a dance of death until fate intervened.

Amidst the plundered technologies aboard the Hunters ship a container had been damaged in the crash, and something dark found its way into the local fauna. This began an apocalypse that would end their tiny war and set the course of history.

Eventually, only N'yaka-de u'darahje, the Elder, remained, victorious and now completely insane, riding atop one of a herd of massive Xenosaurs.
The mega-lizard battle-mounts he and the other survivors had broken in were replaced by a wide variety of terrifying new creatures, truly the stuff of nightmares.

With no ship to leave the surface, he survived, presiding over a planet of monsters, mastering the ways of the Xeno hybrids, and unbelievably shepherding them carefully until there were no indigenous fauna remaining.

Over a hundred years later other Hunters would finally locate the source of the distress signal broadcast from the derelict vessel, led by stories told by the survivor who escaped in the single pod.

They would have a newfound respect for the name of the mad N'yaka-de u'darahje, which meant “Master of Abominations'', and many Feral Hunters would come to follow his teachings and help him to manage the Xeno Hunting Grounds, where the greatest Hunters travel to hone their skills against the deadliest prey. When Xenosaur riders, Hellhound Liger riders, or even Hounds are found in battle, his legacy continues on in his Beastmaster Clan.
