“Give me a Lacerta and a crew of five, and I’ll drive it to Hell and back.”

– George Hashigawara, GEO-Corp prospector

The Lacerta-type is the most popular of FKMSA’s “ground crawler” line, a selection of rough, rugged, modular industrial vehicles intended for heavy work on the more dangerous planets, particularly in the Fringe zones. With integral grav plating and an enormous tracked footprint, the most basic model of a Lacerta can brave the high gravity and grav anomaly environments of core mining operations and, while not designed for war, the vehicle’s inherent toughness made it a very obvious makeshift combat vehicle for both emergency defense armies and rebel elements.

The 266-ton basic loadout version is available now for the low price of 499,999.99 credits! Buy yours today, and secure your mineral-rich future!

With this release we bring you a brand new, spacious, modular heavy terrain vehicle called the Lacerta-type ground crawler. It is intended for FDM printers, and has a significant footprint once assembled and placed on the table. You can rest assured that this vehicle will easily dominate a scene, and the playable interior makes it a very interesting interactive piece for a tactical engagement.

For assembly instructions, please consult Lacerta Showcase.png while reading on:

The basic layout of the vehicle is made up of three principal multi-part sections that do not have to be glued together: the front, middle, and rear.

The front of the vehicle is made up of Track Front R and L, Body Front, Roof Cab, and Roof Front. The first four should be glued together, so that the entire section is modular, but Roof Front should simply rest closed on the FrameBuilt nibs, to facilitate access to the interior. As an extra, the body and roof pieces have holes for 2mm cylinder magnets.

The middle of the vehicle consists of the Track Access R and L, Body Access, and Roof Middle. Again, the body and the two track elements should be glued together, and the roof left “loose”, with holes for four optional magnet pairs.

The rear includes the Body Rear, Track Rear R and L, and Roof Rear. As before, glue the body and tracks together, leave the roof loose or magnetized.

The three sections are connected via four Connectors that enter holes inside the various Body sections, and hold together through friction fitting. It is recommended you do not glue this together: this retains the modularity of the vehicle, which you can use right now to create longer vehicles, or mix and match parts from future releases.

There is a separate folder for Optional elements, allowing you to customize your Lacerta by adding rear stowage racks or spare track segments, a flexible (print on FDM and use a hair dryer) ladder for front or rear access, vehicle number marking, extra interior seating, or even optional sensors or an improvised gun turret.

The Example Exploded and Example Assembled files are not intended for printing; they’re just there to give you a hint how it all comes together.

MMF Redeem invite for the this model will be send on Jan 31 to all eligible Tier Holders.

More ground crawlers will come your way soon!

papsikels

So if I'm subscribed to SCIFI + CYBERPUNK TIER I'll need to switch to CYBER ELITE?

papsikels

yes please switch to elite to get the content then switch back to regular tier. if you dont want to continue to be an elite next month

Sebastian

Nice, but a bit too steampunky for my liking. Something more modern would be nice.

Cyberpunk releases are no longer here on Patreon and have moved to the Papsikels tribe on MyMiniFactory. Elite tier isn't any cheaper here despite the reduced content though.

Anonymous

Wow, looks like I should read more of the updates! thanks ;)

Anonymous

hmm... I see November and December cyberpunk rewards on my MMF library though.

Sergio

Hello, when will be cyberpunk files available for members who has scifi+cyberpunk tier? I sent you a message, but I didn't have a reply :(

papsikels

will be sending it later this week. also please update your tier. next month :)

So is this a tribes only thing now? if so why's it here?

Anonymous

Then I am very confused as to how the tiers are working now, I thought the cyber elite thing stopped as cyberpunk got shifted to tribes?

Anonymous

Sorry, the tittle is 2021?

Anonymous

Sci-Fi is on Patreon; Cyberpunk (Tribe) is on MMF; Patreon also still has the 'Elite' tier (ignore Sci-Fi or Cyber prefix) which occasionally has bonus items such as this one. 😎👍

I'm in the same boat. This "shift your cyber pledge to Tribes" was conducted in a very unclear manner. I ended Cyber Elite on Patreon because of that post, and switched Cyber to MMF. Now, here we are...
