I've recreated a layout of one of my older low poly pieces with focus on adding a textures with displacement, creating a crossover between realistic and stylized.

This is great. I've been wondering about realism and 'stylism', and how much I want to put in my artwork as I develop a style. While looking into low poly, I assumed a game such as Animal Crossing on Switch was flat textures, but the world objects are actually quite detailed - even realistic - with normal maps adding further detail. But the game looks beautiful and stylised. So I guess detail alone isn't what separates style from realism....

This is overall interesting topic and one of the best breakdowns about stylized vs. realism I saw was this video from Blender Conference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyEcMEqeKpo
