Chapter 18:

A massive amount of ice surged directly towards Marcus. Before it could reach them, Marcus wrapped his arms around Asia and lifted off into the air with the flap of his wings.

“What the hell, kid!? Why are you attacking us out of nowhere?” Marcus shouted down at the teenager with the half burned face.

“I don't have to answer you, villain. Your plan won't succeed. All Might won't lose to a bunch of second rate villains like you!” He aimed his arm at Marcus and launched multiple ice shards.

‘What the hell is an All Might?’ Marcus wondered to himself as he flapped his wings and dodged away from the dangerous projectiles. This kid needed to learn to hold back more. He was firing giant icicles without knowing whether or not his targets would even be able to survive getting hit by them.

Marcus grimaced, in Asia’s case, she would not. She was understably letting out squeaks of fright every time he was forced to evade getting skewered.

“Why is he attacking us, Marcus?” Asia squeaked out as he flew higher, trying to get out of the kid’s range. Marcus was surprised at how powerful an Ice Meta-human he was. He wasn't on Killer Frost’s level, but he was still pretty powerful.

Marcus realized that Asia didn't speak Japanese, so she had no idea what he was saying. “He thinks we're villains for some reason. He's some wannabe superhero kid maybe. One who's probably going to end up in juvie after this…” Marcus told her while shaking my head. “You can't just go around attacking random people with Meta-Human powers and expect to get away with it. Especially in places like Japan or China, I've heard they have much stricter laws about vigilantism than in America.”

“You’re not escaping me villains!” An icicle far larger than the previous ones blasted up towards us.

Marcus clicked his tongue. This was starting to get annoying. The kid was incredibly persistent and was really going out of his way to try and hurt them.

“Hold on tight, ok Asia?” Marcus wrapped his left arm around her tightly while conjuring a golden Lightspear in his right hand. This Lightspear was glowing even brighter than normal. He pumped it with triple the required Light Energy to raise its heat. He stabbed forwards right as the giant icicle reached us.

What happened next probably shouldn't have been possible, but Marcus knew better than most people that magic tended to be pure bullshit at times. The massive icicle immediately evaporated as soon as it made contact with his burning Lightspear.

“W-What!? HOW!?” All of a sudden, the scarred kid wasn’t looking so cocky.

“You can’t just go around attacking random people for no reason,” Marcus said while pointing his Lightspear at the youth. “You’re calling us villains, but the only villain I see is obviously you. Let's see what the police have to say when I turn you in.”

“I'm not falling for your tricks, Villain! I'm not going to lose here, I'm going to be a hero my own way!” the teen yelled at them with hatred in his eyes. “I don't need his power to beat you!”

Marcus had no idea he was talking about and suspected this boy had some deep rooted psychological issues.

“You need to calm down kid, you're acting crazy!” Marcus replied. That was the wrong thing to say. That only seemed to piss the kid off more.

“Don't call me crazy! I'm nothing like her either!”

“Eeeep!” Asia shrieked in fright as a massive glacier suddenly manifested before their eyes. The kid was clearly going all out at this point.

Marcus whistled at the size of the attack. “I guess there's no talking to this guy. I'm going to have to take him down.” Marcus’s Lightspear glowed even brighter as he poured more Light Energy into it.

Marcus held onto Asia tightly as he rapidly dove into the glacier. His Lightspear was pointed directly in front of them. They crashed directly into the massive wall of ice. The burning heat from his spear melted a path that allowed him to punch directly through the entire glacier.

They emerged from a hole in the ice directly in front of the kid. He was panting in exhaustion and looked to be half frozen over from overuse of his own powers. In shock, the kid raised his left hand at them.

Marcus braced for another sudden ice attack, but was surprised when nothing came out of the boy’s right hand.

“No! I won’t use his power!” The boy shook his head hatefully and lowered his right hand. Instead, he struggled and tried to raise his frosted over left hand again. That arm was now purple and on the verge of getting frostbite…

Marcus didn’t think the ice-teen had anything left in the tank, but he didn't feel like taking any chances either. The Lightspear in Marcus’s hand disappeared. He clenched his fist and punched the teen right across the jaw.

The scarred boy was out like a light. His eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the ground.

Marcus shook out his fist. The kid had a pretty sturdy jaw, borderline superhuman levels of durability. “That takes care of that,” Marcus said as he now properly started to assess their situation. “Now, where exactly did we end up? We're obviously in Japan considering this guy was speaking Japanese.”

“Why is everything on fire?” Asia asked nervously. “Nothing seems to be burning though,” she pointed out.

Marcus realized that she was right. All of the destroyed buildings around them were on fire, but none of them were actually burning. When he looked closer, he could actually see that most of the flames were being generated from well crafted gas lines. All of the scenery around them was fake. “Is this some kind of movie set or something?” he pondered out loud.

“This isn’t a movie set, this is the USJ!” a girl's voice called out from nearby. She was speaking English with a Japanese accent.

“Universal Studios Japan!?” Asia asked in delight. She turned to Marcus excitedly, “Can we please go on some roller coasters?”

Marcus patted her on the head. “I have no idea why my portal went wonky and dumped us on the wrong side of the planet, but sure. We might as well have a bit of fun before heading back home,” he told her. Asia had just been rescued from a very traumatic experience, he figured that she deserved a small break.

“No, this isn’t that USJ! This is the Unforeseen Simulation Joint! It’s UA’s training facility! You two are both intruders!” the girl's voice called out a second time.

Marcus looked around but still couldn’t see who was talking to them. “Are you invisible or something? Do you mind showing yourself? Or are you another hero wannabe like the kid on the ground?” Marcus asked while pointing.

“Todoroki isn’t a wannabe! He’s the strongest student in our entire class!” the girl responded indignantly. “And I can’t turn off my powers. They’re always on,” she sounded sad when she said that.

“That sucks,” Marcus said while pushing some magic into his eyes. It was an old trick most supernatural beings used to see the unseen.

“Jesus Christ!” Marcus sputtered and immediately closed his eyes! He immediately regretted trying to see the unseen…

Asia pouted and smacked Marcus on the arm. “Don’t take the Lord’s name in vain! Especially when he’s your own Uncle!”

“Sorry Asia,” Macus said before turning to where he last saw the invisible girl. He made sure to keep magic out of his eyes this time. “Girl…why are you naked…?” Marcus did his best not to cringe as he asked that. He had seen…pretty much everything. The invisible girl had been completely and utterly naked…and obviously underage. “Seriously, what is wrong with kids these days?”

“You can see me!?” the girl asked in shock. “...Wait? You can see me…” she trailed off before realization struck her. “EEEP!” she immediately covered herself with her hands and ran away from Marcus and Asia in embarrassment! “NOOOOooooo!”

They both heard her footsteps and screams grow more distant until they couldn’t anymore…

“Well…that happened.” Marcus ran his hand through his hair and sighed. “An invisible exhibitionist…that's a new one.”

“Was she really naked…?” Asia asked in disbelief. “Was she one of those perverts the Sisters always tell me to watch out for?”

Marcus shrugged. “I guess so. How about we both just never speak of this again,” Marcus suggested. He didn’t know what was going on with the underage streaking invisible girl, and he honestly didn’t want to know…

Marcus reached down and picked up Todoroki's unconscious body. “Let’s turn this guy into the police and then I'll portal us back to Gotham. I don’t think we're going to find any roller coasters in this weird place.”

Asia pouted in disappointment. Marcus made a promise to her that they could take a trip to one of Gotham’s theme parks once they got back home. She smiled happily after hearing that. Marcus could sense over a hundred people nearby, so they started heading in that direction. They didn’t run into anyone else until they made their way out of the fire zone.

Both of their jaws fell open when they arrived at a massive plaza.

“Ok, what the fuc–fudge.” Marcus had to hold back from swearing since Asia was right next to him. That didn't stop him from being any less shocked at the sight before them.

The entire plaza was currently the sight of a massive battle. Dozens of bodies littered the ground as costumed heroes and villains went at each other with abandon. It wasn't hard for Marcus to sense which side was which. The villains radiated palpable killing intent. The leader of the villains, a guy standing in the back covered in severed human hands, had one of the most murderous auras Marcus had ever felt.

“Make sure to stay behind me, Asia,” Marcus told her. He was annoyed that he had just rescued her, only for her to immediately end up in another dangerous situation.

“Are you going to help them, Marcus?” Asia asked him while tugging on the back of his shirt.

“I don't really have a choice. The heroes look like they're about to lose. I wasn't aware Japan has such a big villain problem.” To be fair to himself, no one in the Supernatural world bothered paying attention to Japan outside of Kyoto or Kuoh Town.

“Crush this pathetic hero, Nomu!” the villain covered in hands yelled.

A large monster, with its brain exposed, had one of the heroes pinned to the ground with its sheer weight. The hero had been beaten very badly and was on his last legs.

SNAP!

He let out a loud scream of agony when the Nomu grabbed his arm and snapped it like a twig. The sound of bones breaking and being turned to powder was horrifying on everyone's ears.

Except for all of the villains who were all cheering and laughing at his pain. Many of these villains were sporting bruises and broken noses after being beaten by the hero only a few minutes earlier.

“Hah! That's what you get you piece of shit!”

“Damn heroes! Know your place!”

“How dare you stand against us. We're going to kill you all and these pathetic students!”

“Aizawa-sensei! No! Let him gooo! SMASH!” A teenage boy with green hair rocketed forwards at very impressive speeds. He was moving almost as fast as most Knight Class Devils. Unfortunately, his power seemed to be lacking in comparison with his speed. His punch slammed hard into the Nomu's back, but unfortunately didn’t actually do any damage. “No! I hit him with everything I had!”

“Nomu! Kill the stupid All Might fanboy!” The villain leader ordered the creature.

Marcus knew it was his time to step in. After seeing his attack fail, the green haired teen completely froze up in fear. The Nomu was only a second away from ending the teens life when Marcus intervened. He hurled a Lightspear with perfect accuracy directly at the monster's raised arm. It struck true, directly into the monster’s elbow. The Nomu’s enhanced durability was no match for a Lightspear that burned hotter than magma.

“What the hell!?” the villain leader exclaimed in shock when he witnessed his Nomu lose half its arm to some kind of energy attack! He rapidly turned his head in the direction the attack came from. “Did a new player enter the game? This guy looks like the most generic harem protagonist I’ve ever seen…” he muttered to himself in annoyance.

Marcus walked forwards with Asia right behind him. Everyone was so shocked by his sudden entrance that no one made any moves to attack him. He was able to strut halfway through the plaza before someone spoke up. He walked right up to the Nomu that was slowly regenerating its missing forearm. Marcus immediately made a mental note that he would need to aim for lethal areas if he wanted to put this creature down for good. That exposed brain was an obvious  possible weak point.

“Get off of him,” Marcus ordered the creature while pointing another Lightspear right at its heart.

The villain leader scoffed at Marcus’s audacity. “Hah! My Nomu is programmed to only listen to me. It’s not going to–” he cut himself and gaped in shock when the Nomu started slowly backing away from Marcus.

Unbeknownst to either of them, it was a creature that was barely capable of thought at this point. It could only follow orders and its own instincts–and its instincts were screaming at the poor creature that the blond man in front of it was dangerous. It could KILL him! The Nomu leapt 50 feet backwards and landed next to the man whose orders it was supposed to follow.

“Nomu! What the hell! You’re not supposed to follow other people’s orders. Kurogiri, our stupid Nomu is bugged!”

“I’m sure that was just a minor fluke Tomura Shigariki. It shouldn’t happen again. I’m curious who our new interlopers are though. The man is carrying an unconscious UA student over his shoulder. The son of the number two hero Endeavor in fact.” Kurogiri said to his young master.

Marcus had actually been surprised that the monster listened to him and temporarily backed off. That usually didn’t happen. He couldn't remember the last time he'd ever heard of a villain actually complying with a hero's orders. He made sure to keep the monster in the corner of his eye though, as he and Asia checked on the downed hero and his…student? Did Japan have hero students? Marcus wasn’t sure what these teenagers were. He noticed a few more of them were watching everything from atop a large staircase across the plaza. It seemed like most of the students were gathering there to try and escape the villains.

“W–Who are you? How did you command that monster!?” the green haired boy said with a small stutter as he stared up at Marcus. “Why are you holding Todoroki? W–What happened to him?” He noticed that both of the newcomers looked like foreigners.

Marcus unceremoniously dropped Todoroki to the floor. “This kid attacked my little sister and me out of nowhere with lethal force. He’ll be lucky if I don't end up pressing charges, he could have killed Asia here. I had to knock him out, I wasn’t exactly gentle when I hit him, so he might have a fractured jawline.”

The incredibly banged up hero grimaced at the foreigners words. “I apologize for my student. I'll be sure to reprimand him later. You’re clearly not with the villains, but who are you and what are you doing here?”

“I’m Marcus and this is Asia. My hero name in America is Nephilim,” Marcus introduced himself. “We had a bit of a teleportation accident and ended up here,” Marcus explained with a shrug. He honestly had no idea why they were there either. “That’s never happened to me before. I didn’t think anything could mess with my portals. You look like crap by the way. I'm amazed that you're even conscious with all of those injuries. Asia, would you mind healing him?” Marcus asked her.

“Of course,” Asia would have healed the man whether or not anyway. She hated seeing injured people in front of her…even if they were bad people. Except for Devils…after what Diodora did to the Vatican, Asia had made a vow to never heal a single Devil no matter what. “Please hold still sir.” Two green rings appeared on her fingers and she started to heal the hero with her Sacred Gear.

The tired looking man was shocked as he felt his bones and flesh painlessly stitch itself back together. In only a matter of seconds, he was restored to absolute perfect health! ‘This girl has the most powerful healing quirk ive ever seen!’ he thought to himself in shock. ‘She doesn’t even look remotely tired after healing my extensive injuries either!’

“Aizawa-Sensei!? You're okay!” the green boy smiled widely before tears formed his eyes and he started bawling. “I'm so glad!” A borderline supernatural amount of tears poured from his eyes. Everyone else took a step back to avoid the splash zone…

“Im fine, Midoriya, and quit crying. We talked about this, heroes don't have time to cry out in the field.” Aizawa said dryly before turning to the girl who had healed him. He noticed that she had been speaking English and replied in the same language. “Thank you. That’s quite an impressive healing quirk you have there,” he told her.

Asia tilted her head curiously. “You’re welcome?” She had never heard her Sacred Gear referred to that way, but could tell the man was being sincere.

Aizawa spoke to Marcus next. “You claim to be an American hero? I’ve never heard the name Nephilim, are you new?”

Marcus nodded. “I’m not surprised you haven't heard of me. I've only been active for a little over a week. I haven't gone on that many patrols and have only taken on a few villains. I don’t really keep up with Metas in Japan either, so I have no idea who any of you are.”

Aizawa nodded in understanding. That information wasn’t very surprising, Marcus didn’t look older than any of the third year students the school taught. “You said you portaled here? Is that your quirk? Then what was that light attack?” Aizazwa asked Marcus. Even if this young man had saved his life, Aizawa was the type of hero who never trusted completely and never stopped fishing for information.

“I'm not sure what you mean by quirk, and I'm afraid I can’t disclose any of that information to someone I've just met. I'm sure you understand,” Marcus replied and Aizawa furrowed his brows.

“You don't know what a quirk is!?” Midoriya asked in shock.

“What the hell!? Eraserhead is back to full health? What kind of hacks is that!? Their party has a healer who’s clearly broken the level cap! That’s not fair!” Shigiraki complained loudly while glaring at Aizawa and Asia in particular.

The power of that girl's healing quirk is extraordinary,” Kurogiri said thoughtfully. “It could be just what the Master needs to fully restore himself! Tomura Shigaraki, we must acquire this girl above all else! Getting her is now top priority, especially since All Might has not shown up.”

Shigaraki grit his teeth in annoyance at the reminder of All Might being a no show. They went to all this pain and effort to kill the man, and the hero couldn't even stick to his own schedule. “At least we will get something out of this worthless failed quest…” Shigaraki muttered to himself before turning to his Nomu. “Nomu, capture that blonde girl!”

“How do you not know what a quirk is?” Midoriya asked Marcus in confusion. “You have wings, four of them.” He pointed to Marcus's back.

This kid certainly didn't hesitate when it came to asking questions. Marcus was a bit annoyed at how nosy the kid was acting, especially after Marcus had just saved his life from the Nomu.

“I was born with these wings,” Marcus replied. These two kept mentioning the word quirk, but he had no idea what they were talking about. He only spoke Japanese due to the language blessing bestowed upon all Angelic beings, so he wondered if he was simply experiencing a translation error whenever they used that word. “My wings aren't a quirk, they're part of me.” He did his best to explain.

“If you were born with your wings, then that means they're a mutation quirk.” Midoriya pointed out before pointing at Asia. “...Just like she has a healing quirk.” he said in English. He actually spoke the language quite well. He spent years learning it so he could properly pronounce all of All Might’s signature attacks.

“My power was bestowed upon me by the Lord,” Asia said while placing her hands together for a quick prayer.

“Asia doesn't have a quirk either,” Marcus said and Midoriya threw his arms up in the air in exasperation.

“Sensei! These two people are really suspicious! Who doesn't know what a quirk is in this day and age?” he complained.

Aizawa also thought that was suspicious, but he didn't have time to dwell on that strange information. It looked like the villains were gearing up for round two. A dozen or so of the random villains had picked themselves up off the ground and had regrouped together. They were glaring at him hatefully for the beat down he delivered to them earlier.

Everyone's attention was drawn to the villain’s leader when he shouted out his next command.

“Nomu, capture that blonde girl!”

Marcus never let the villains out of his peripheral vision. Since they hadn't fled, he was expecting them to be regrouping for another attack. He wasn't expecting the leader to immediately order his monster to capture Asia though! Did he know who she was? Was he working for the Devils? Marcus knew they had a lot of human contractors in Japan, he wouldn't be surprised if Diodora decided to ally with villainous Meta-Humans. They obviously had no idea he was now dead; Marcus had only killed him less than 30 minutes ago after all.

The Nomu hesitated for a second before it launched itself towards them. It moved so fast and with so much force that the ground cracked with every step it took. It had clearly been holding back its power earlier. Marcus thought this monster was a Mid Class being when it was closer to High Class!

“You're not touching, Asia!” Marcus quickly threw himself in front of her.

The Nomu cocked its fist back and tried to smash in Marcus' head. His wings once again acted as a shield. The monster was strong, maybe even slightly stronger than Sairaorg had been.

“Damn, those muscles aren't just for show.” Marcus felt the powerful impact as its fist slammed into his layered wings. Despite the strain, he managed to hold his ground. He lashed out with a Lightspear, hoping to catch the Nomu off guard once again. It once again proved its speed and dodged away before he could skewer its heart. Its self-preservation instincts were also top notch despite it having powerful regeneration.

“Don't just stand there Nomu! Kill him and seize the girl!” Shigaraki ordered the beast.

The Nomu immediately obeyed. It launched itself forwards again. Marcus threw his wings in front of him again, expecting the mindless beast to use the same basic attacks. He was caught off guard when it instead grabbed his four wings with its hands. It didn't seem to mind the razor-sharp feathers slicing into its fingers as it pushed his wings out of the way to get to him!

“Shit!” Marcus cursed when the Nomu made its way past his shield. It threw out a punch that he could only block with the Lightspear he was holding. His arms rattled at the powerful blow as he was launched backward. Thankfully, the Nomu let out another shriek of pain. That punch had cost it another arm—albeit one that was already in the process of regenerating.

He threw his Lightspear as hard as he could but the Nomu was able to dodge out the way while it waited for its torched arm to regrow again.

“Woah! You're actually keeping up with that monster! That's amazing!” Midoriya exclaimed behind Marcus. “That's really amazing! Your quirk is so cool! You're like Hawks but your wings are steel and you can also conjure laser spears!”

Marcus was starting to think Midoriya was bipolar or something. His emotions were honestly all over the place. One second he was crying his eyes out and the next he was cheering loudly.

“Dammit, my quirk still isn't working on this thing. Its speed and power aren't changing at all,” Aizawa complained. “I'll just keep my eyes on the teleporter then. I won't let them escape.”

“Are you ok, Marcus?” Asia asked him in concern. “I'm sorry you had to protect me again…” she looked down sadly.

“It's not your fault, Asia,” Marcus reassured her while rolling his shoulders. Nothing was dislocated thankfully. “Bad guys will always covet what's not theirs to have. Your Sacred Gear is yours and no one else's. I won't let anyone else try and capture you for it!” he told her while think about what to do next.

Marcus didn't think he would be able to defeat the Nomu and protect Asia without going all out. The leader of the villains and the fog man next to him hadn't stepped in yet either. He had yet to see either of their abilities, but he figured they weren't going to be weaklings.

“What's your plan, Marcus? Can you beat the Nomu, or do we need to retreat?” Aizawa asked him as he eyed the villains around them. The only reason they hadn't joined in yet was because they didn't want to get caught up as collateral damage with the Nomu fighting. “The other villains might also join in and attack us together. We'll be overwhelmed if that happens.”

“I know…” Marcus said. “I'm going to kill the Nomu. We should be able to capture the other villains afterwards.”

Aizawa raised an eyebrow at that bold claim. “You think you can do it? They claim this beast is as powerful as All Might.”

“I can do it.” Marcus said confidently while calling upon the True Longinus. He still had two more stored charges for his Balance Breaker.

“Woah! That spear is different from your other ones. Is that another part of your quirk? This one looks like it's solid gold. How does that work?” Midoriya asked Marcus rapidly. Something about the spear drew him in. He almost wanted to reach out and touch it.

Asia actually scowled and slapped Midoriya’s hand away. “Show some proper respect! That is the True Longinus! The ultimate weapon, bestowed upon Marcus by the Archangel Gabriel herself. You are not allowed to touch it!”

“A–Archangel!?” Midoriya asked in shock. “What?”

‘That's impossible,’ Aizawa thought to himself. Like many people in this day and age, he was a stark atheist. He believed that everything, along with all quirks, could be explained by science.

Marcus gripped the True Longinus and pointed it at the Nomu. “If there's any sentience inside of you, I suggest you surrender now. Otherwise you're going to die.”

The Nomu started to feel the same instinctive fear it had felt when it first laid eyes on Marcus. It wasn't capable of communication, but nevertheless it slowly took a few steps backwards. Its instincts were telling it to run.

“Dammit Kurogiri! What is our Nomu doing!?” Shigaraki stamped his foot angrily. “Our secret weapon is a coward! It loses a couple of arms and all of a sudden it's afraid to fight!”

“I'm not sure what's going on either,” Kurogiri admitted. “The doctor clearly made a few mistakes with this one. You might have to use the failsafe code.”

“What? Then it'll turn on us too.” Shigaraki said. “That code makes it go berserk and kill everyone it sees. It'll never stop until it starves to death.”

“The second you say the code, I'll portal us back to the bar. We can use the other villains we brought with us as a distraction.” Kurogiri suggested.

Shigaraki nodded. “These useless party members couldn't even take down Eraserhead without our help. At least they'll serve as a decent distraction for us I suppose,” he said before he raised his voice loudly. “Nomu…Omega Orange thirteen thirty three!”

I half wondered if the Nomu was actually going to surrender. “Maybe there's still some human consciousness in there.” I said as I watched it back away after my warning. It clearly didn't want to tangle with my True Longinus. It wasn't a supernatural creature, but it could somehow sense what would happen it it did.

At least, that's what was happening until “handy” shouted out some random codes and numbers from the other side of the plaza.

Then all hell broke loose.

RooooooAAAARRRR!” the Nomu let out an infernal roar. Its white eyes turned blood red and started rapidly shifting in every direction. They locked onto a nearby group of villains. In less than a second, the Nomu was directly on top of them.

“What the fuck!?

“What is it doing!?”

“No! Get away from us!”

The villains let out screams of horror and agony as the monster started to tear them to pieces with its bare hands. Blood and body parts splattered across the plaza. It only took around 5 seconds for the monster

“Nooo!” Asia screamed in horror at the graphic sight. She knew those were bad people, but no one deserved to die so horribly!

“Bluuurgh!” Midoriya immediately puked all over the ground.

“Shit! It's gone feral!” Aizawa exclaimed. “You need to put it down now, kid!” he yelled at me.

I snapped out of my shock. “True Longinus: Balance Break–”

CRASH!!!

“I AM HERE!” a loud voice declared and cut Marcus off right before he activated his Balance Breaker.

The doors at the top of the stairs were blown open, and a large blond superhero entered the facility.

“All Might!” Midoriya cheered as he wiped the vomit off of his lips.

With a very impressive display of speed, the hero immediately arrived next to them.

“Aizawa, I'm glad to see you're alright. What's happening here?” All Might asked.

“I almost died, but the foreign girl here was able to heal me. You need to be careful All Might, the monster has gone berserk.” Aizawa said as his eyes started to throb. He hadn't stopped using his quirk on the two villain leaders since he was healed. He wasn't going to let them get away. Although, they might not even be surviving the next minute.

“Kurogiri! What the fuck! Open a damn portal!” Shigaraki shrieked at his living warp gate.

“I–I cant…” Kurogiri said in horror. My quirk isn't working! Eraserhead is cutting me off!”

“RooooaaaarRRRRR!”

“Shit!” Shigaraki yelled as the Nomu finished ripping the other villains limb from limb and locked eyes with them next. “It's coming for us, Kurogiri!” his eyes widened in horror as the berserker Nomu rushed at them. It would no longer follow his commands, it only knew to destroy anything and everything that moved. “I'm not dying like some noob that can't control his own freaking summon!” Shigaraki exclaimed and thrust his hand forwards.

All five fingers managed to make contact with the Nomu’s torso right as it reached them. Shigaraki smirked in victory before he realized something was wrong, the Nomu wasn't disintegrating!

‘Damn you, Eraserhead!’ Shigaraki cursed in his mind before his world exploded into pain and agony. The Nomu ripped off his right arm with almost casual ease. A loud squeal escaped his dried lips before he was violently kicked in the chest and launched across the entire plaza. His body ended up flying all the way into the nearby lake. ‘I refuse to die here!’ Were his last thoughts before he passed out and started sinking.

“Noooo! Tomura Shigaraki!” Kurogiri was barely able to shout the name of his young master before the Nomu was on him next! It gripped the metal bracer around his neck and started crushing it…

“Jesus…” All Might said as he watched the violence.

WHACK!

“Don't take the Lord's name in vain!” Asia smacked the large hero with no hesitation.

“RoooooAAAAAAARRRRRrr!” After dealing with the leaders, the Nomu finally turned its attention to them.

“Oh no! What do we do!” Midoriya cried.

“It's become far more violent and bloodthirsty. It also seems faster and stronger. Whatever those code words were, they released some kind of biological limiter.” Aizawa grimaced. “You still think you can take it down?” he asked Marcus skeptically.

“Marcus won't lose!” Asia proclaimed for her brother.

Marcus smiled at Asia and nodded. “Just take a few steps back and watch. I've got this.”

“True Longinus: Balance Breaker!”

The four wings on Marcus's back quickly became ten as he felt even more power flow into him than the last time he was forced to use his Balance Breaker

“Nomu! Come and meet your end!” Marcus exclaimed while leveling his spear forwards.

No one knew whether the monster could even understand his provocation, but that didn't really matter. It charges at him regardless. Its speed was almost twice as fast as before. Its muscles were overworking themselves to the point that steam was pouring off of them.

If Marcus wasn't temporarily in the Ultimate Class, he wouldn't have even been able to see the Nomu move, let alone keep up with it. Unfortunately for the Nomu, Marcus could keep up with it. When it was only a few feet from tearing into him, he pointed his speartip and spoke the words.

“Sit Lux Aeterna!”

A blinding white light filled the entire facility…

“I can't see!” All Might was forced to close his eyes, the light was so intense. It took almost half a minute for his vision to come back. By that time, the sounds of fighting had stopped. “What happened?” he asked while opening his eyes. His mouth fell open in shock.

“…Holy crap.” Midoriya muttered as he gazed at the destruction.

“That's impossible…” Aizawa trailed off.

Asia rubbed her eyes and smiled widely. “I told you he wouldn't lose!”

Marcus was standing in the same spot, catching his breath as his chest moved up and down. The Nomu was nowhere to be seen.

In front of Marcus was a massive trail of destruction. One that was 20 feet wide and spanned all the way to the edge of the USJ…and beyond. The beam of Light he had unleashed had left a trail of destruction over two miles long…

Kureiji Ryuu

I really think the quality has gone down. It doesn't even look like the same author. The characters explaining everything like the discussion between Kurogiri and Shigaraki about the code, then Aizawa repeating about the code and how it makes Noumu stronger, all of this makes the last chapters look like a cartoon with the villain of the week. I also found it a little strange that the MC needed the balance breaker when he was able to fight the Nomu with just a spear of light without even using sacred gear or throwing a bunch of spears.
