Way back when the LOTR movies had just come out, a local cinema ran a three-movie marathon. Some magnificient asshole dangled a plastic spider over the seat in front of him during the "Shelob sneaks up on Sam" scene. The movie had to be interrupted and IIRC the guy got a lifetime ban :D.
