That's not a joke on the corset. That's ACTUALLY how they are put on, or at least how they WERE way back in the day. They've gotten a _bit_ better over the last few hundred years, but doing them up properly is (at least for ones that lace up the back like that) still a two person affair. I mean, I love the way ladies look in them, but I'd never ask them to endure wearing one. It's kinda like my Marine Corps dress blues. I wear them if A) I am ordered to do so, or B) so ladies can take them back off, preferably sooner rather than later given how restrictive and uncomfortable that jacket is. (Something they rarely seem to object to doing.)
