Here's the finished page 40.

This page marks the end of this story chapter. And it didn't end as most of you expected I suppose. Tristan couldn't do what the Tree of Life encouraged him. Everyone has to make their own decisions, and sadly Luna couldn't do it for him. She did open Tristan's eyes, but he was too weak to break out of the prison of pressure. He did live his whole life in there after all. But I'm sure it's not a big spoiler if I say we'll meet Tristan again soon enough :)

Next week a new prologue starts, and I hope you are just as excited about it as I am :D We are progressing quite nicely with the prologues. But there are still a few characters left to meet and get to know ;)

Well I was very worried that the other thieves would do something bad to Tristan's chicken(?) family as revenge, so... This is good?

Toxic relationships win this round. But there will be more to come.

I like when comic artists are willing to portray their characters like this. Its a heart ache for the reader but makes sense towards how the characters themselves make decisions about the situations around them. Cant wait to see everyone else make their comic debut!

It might work out in the end. He'll learn some skills that thieves are taught and hopefully he try to rob someone and get caught only to be taught good with his skills.

I think it is a testament to your abilities that we want good things for Tristan, I am not disappointed in this outcome because it reinforces and actualizes Tristan as a gentle sweet boy; and it'd be jarringly saccharine for him to get "the happy ending" so quickly.

Damn... figured it wasn't gonna be that easy but still good to see the first attempt. Likely won't pick up till a great amount of time and experience to figure himself out. He's still young. Good start :3

Although the little sprout failed to assert himself this time, the seed has been planted and won't go away any time soon. Those words will always stick with him (I hope). A little age, some stronger roots, and the little sprout might one day be strong enough to stand up to the winds of manipulation on his own.

As I said before: GOD DAMMIT Tristan...
