[Muraka Project] sketches and a bit of Lore 🌺 (Patreon)

Hey hey sweeties! These days I'm sketching more for me, and it's quite nice since I don't feel the pressure to share finished pieces on social media :3

There are some random scenes with particular meanings, but I wanted to talk a bit about the first one. 

This is a scene that takes place after the group returns from one of the first missions they have. And it is one of the first times that the punishments of The Academy is seen. 

People who join the Academy have strict military training, and they end up being strong warriors. Also, many of them have made a pact with Alma, so in some way, they can use magic, (even just in a very limited way).
For this reason, the institution admits that these soldiers are "superior" to other people, and therefore, the rules are very strict to punish if they use that power to abuse civilians or with the non-military staff in the Academy (such as doctors, nurses ...).
Also the fights between the military or any type of violence towards another human is punished.

Punishments can be lockdowns or not allowing eating for a few days.
In blood crimes, such as killing another person during a mission, it has two dimensions:
- Kill a person but in self-defense. The punishment is severe whipping.
- Kill a defenseless person. Punishment is fate to the Dark Zone.
The Dark Zone are those areas populated by infected dragons that the military have not yet managed to explore, and that generally, those who go there, do not survive.

In the first image, the context is:
In one of the missions Mura ends up killing several enemies (humans from the organization that Agua is in) while fighting in a battle.
Mura and the others are still "students" so the responsibility falls on the captain, in this case, Seban. By then the Academy had considered leaving Ronald as sub-captain.
When they return and Seban is about to receive the lashes, Ronald stands next to him, takes off his shirt and demands the punishment to be distributed between them.

It is a scene that, although somewhat macabre, I am excited to write. Seban has no qualms about showing affection to everyone. Ronald, however, is not that open. And it is in these moments that it comes to light how strong is the friendship that unites them. 

As for Mura, at this time she is beginning to appreciate her companions and to open her heart a little, so she apologizes and avoids hurting anyone again.
