I'm starting a doodle for a Draw This in Your style event. Maybe you recognize the character! :D

As you know I'm working on the webcomic and commissions so I don't have the enough time to draw great things, so most of my recent post in Instagram are basically portraits without backgrounds. I always try to compensate this lack with a curious and striking lighting.

So here is the tip.
Theoretically, the first thing to apply in a drawing is light. The shadows are defined from the light. That's why, although the last thing I add in my drawings is lighting, I always try to make a sketch that represents how light works. This way it will be easier to understand shading :)

I can't wait for the final look!!!!🤗 Lighting is definitely something I need a lot of training on. I've tried my best on staying consistent with lighting but in the end it looks like the sun is shining in all kinds of directions and I lose the flow of the atmosphere for the scenes. This is a great and useful tip and I will definitely try that method for my shinny scenes. THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE ALBA!!!!!
