Good day sweeties! :D How are you today? ^^

Maybe you have seen the final piece on Instagram!

I want to show you a little trick to make the drawing have volume without adding shadows.

The idea is to add gradients in the same layer (checking the Preserve Opacity box). In Photoshop there is this tool, but in Paint Tool Sai no. However, with the Airbrush with a large size, you can add color. In this case, in order not to add more colors than necessary, I have given small strokes of light yellow in the blue and vice versa.

Simply with this gradient effect can generate volume sensation, which is easier to get an idea of how to add shadows later.

Do you do this in your drawings? :3

I heard of this but never tried it out. Might do in the future. Do you know whether ‘preserve opacity’ is in CSP? Also thank you for the advice ^^

Hi sweetie :D I hope you try it soon then :D I had no idea because I've never used CSP but I found this little tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmyOGeKDALU It's called "Lock Transparent Pixels" and apparently you just have to check the Padlock in the menu! (which is actually the definition of Preserve opacity) I hope this helps!
