Not long before the song was released, Hwasa had gotten sued by a fan’s mom. Hwasa had performed at a college and she danced in a way that apparently offended the mom of one of the students. So the mom sued her because she’d looked and danced too provocatively. To be fair, it was a pretty spicy move. I blushed.😂 So when Hwasa found out about the lawsuit she was really upset over it and was feeling really down about herself and her body. So Psy wrote this song and sent it to her to cheer her up. She said she almost disregarded it at first, but the more she listened to it, the better she felt until she was singing a lot with it. And that was was persuaded her to finally accept Psy’s offer and sign with Pnation for her solo work. (And then she signed her contract live at one of his concerts, like a boss!) She eventually won the lawsuit (cause it was utter nonsense) and then released the MV. So that’s why at the end of the video you see her walk between the convertible she was driving and the cop car with the lights flashing. So she’s basically saying you don’t have to like how flashy she is or how different she is, you can try to call the cops on her all you want, but at the end of the day it’s still her body and you just gotta deal with it.
