EN/ Weekly News #170 (Patreon)

Another week under high temperatures! But don't worry, work is progressing 😊

Everything is going well and proceeding as it should. We've done exactly what was planned. This version is going much better than the previous one, so you will much sooner be able to set foot in Sunrise City again this time.

Work on Clover's bonus scene is finished. It is an event that really happens, and will bring a little softness after all the action of the previous version.

The rest of the work focused on improving the rendering of the sky, which involved reworking the way backgrounds are managed. At the moment, the background (buildings, vegetation…) and the sky are grouped together, which sometimes poses a problem in getting the rendering we want, as visual effects are applied to both at the same time. After the rework, we'll have better control and be able to propose more interesting things.

Next week, work will continue on the backgrounds, and we will start on the illustrations for the final scene.
