Another week with progress on several points.
As you can see, the script is all good, we just had to set up the missions and various configuration elements, and that is all done.
On the illustrations side, we're making progress, the two remaining scenes are the biggest ones: the first scene is complex to make, it is an action scene and it needs some work to render well. The second one (the dreamscene) contains a lot of elements because we want the romantic meal to be nice even before the... main course! 😉
Work on the optimization has resumed. We've taken care of the battle, we'll now have a few more things to set up on dates, the shop, and the phone.
Finally, we continued editing/touching up the dialogues.
There's still work to do but we're getting there. To be totally transparent with you, once the illustrations and the code we talked about above are done, what will be left is:
- Editing the cutscenes.
- The configuration of the new replay/gallery elements of this version (it's long to say but not too long to do).
- A little bit of sound.
- The English translation.
- And finally, a test phase to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Don't worry, the next versions won't take so much time, this version is special because it is part of the finale of the prologue. Moreover, reworking the whole system to do what was needed for optimisation is an exceptional case.
The prologue allowed us to set up the important features: dialogues, combat, ability tree, dating... Now that these big systems that form the foundations of the game are here, the rest will progress much better.
Thanks again to all of you for your support and patience, there's still a lot of work to do but the release is approaching!
