Mynt: Moonbeam (Patreon)

Mynt... A very small few of you know of Mynt. She was my Echidna OC back in 2013 onward on the Team Acorn forums. Love her! In FFXIV... I brought her in as an alter-ego, a soul inside Ingrid's body that can take over. When Mynt first appears, all hell breaks loose. The confused Vallaria is terrified for Ingrid and tries to keep this weird.. alter-ego from leaving since she seemed evil. At first at least, Mynt was. So much so that she nearly killed their friend Eloria, forcing Vallaria to impale Mynt with her sword. Except.. she impaled Ingrid as well, being that Mynt controls Ingrid's body...

Later on, Eloria finds a way to contain Mynt's power, to keep her in check so she doesn't take over Ingrid anymore. She performed a ritual to bond Vallaria and Ingrid's souls into one to help share the burden of Mynt's power. It worked, and Mynt was from then on forced to obey and come out when called upon. Thus.. in this beautiful render of Mynt, you see on Ingrid's face her crying half, the side that struggles with the terror and burden of being taken over by something evil, and Mynt's side.. pure power and sinister intent.
