Hello everyone! So the wait is finally over. ^^ Sorry it took so long, but here it is! The next episode of Chronicles of Acorn, featuring Bunnie Rabbot, a new playable member of the party, the Central Great Forest, a big new area to explore, new story, and an increased level cap of 20. I worked for many many hours on this personally, and I'm very happy to have this ready for you guys after 3 months since the last release.

So what's new in Episode 2?
Well for starters, there's a LOT of new features and tweaks that you might notice right away! The battles will be smoother, look better, there are enemy HP bars, there are more detailed debuff popups, and just loads and loads more! There's far too many new things to list, so you just have to see for yourself when you start the game :)

Bunnie is immediately playable when you finish beating Chapter 1, and sorry to say, you MUST start a new game, as a lot of skills have been tweaked and added, and loading a game will cause many bugs to happen. Still, the game should be easier this time around, especially with the new Battle Guides added to the item menu for you to read any time! Check them out if you want to learn the ins and outs of the battle system and Sally's/Bunnie's moveset/playstyle!

New Gear has been added for Sally! In Episode 1, you will find Sally's Gearset in Western Great Forest, and in Hard mode, if you dare to attempt it, you will find Sally's S Gearset, which is far more powerful! Still, for those who want to skip Hard Mode for Episode one, there is a new Blue set for Sally in Central Great Forest. Can you find them all? Bunnie has her gearset available for you to find as well, so dont forget to find hers in Central Great Forest too!

Episode 2 is truly massive. Perhaps not in content, but the sheer amount of changes, additions, fixes, hard work, dedication, and new assets that were added. I sincerely hope you enjoy and I can't wait to hear your feedback. Please be sure to tell me what you think in the comments, guys! It'd mean the world to me! <3

There's many small changes, tweaks, fixes and things, unfortunately I didn't list them all so I can't remember a lot of them at the top of my head. Still, you should see a lot of new things in this episode! ^^ Have fun!

For those curious, here is a level guide for your progress in the game:
Level 1-7 Western Great Forest (Sally Only)
Level 8-12 Western Great Forest Dungeon (Sally Only)
Level 12+ Episode 1 Hard Mode (Sally only)
Note: Hard Mode was designed to be very challenging for Sally at level 12. Anything higher may result in a lot easier gameplay than intended. Play how you want, though! That's the fun of it! Completing Hard Mode rewards a lot of powerful gear for Sally.
Level 12-16 Central Great Forest
Level `17-20 Underground Caverns (Central Great Forest Dungeon)
Level 20: ??? Coming very soon....
Beyond: Halloween Update Coming October 2017
After: Episode 3 Coming December 2017

Hi there, I tested extraction myself using Winrar, and it worked fine. Perhaps retry the download. If it still wont work, I'll reupload later today when my internet is back online. It also may be possible the download didn't complete somehow, perhaps on your end. Usually that error pertains to an incomplete or corrupted rar file. Thanks for letting me know you're having problems, and thanks for your patience. -BM

So far so good! Just a few bugs and stuffles I've been noticing: -One type of big tree in the first forest area seems to be missing it's right portion -Can walk through the first bush at the start -Some weird graphical effects with the grass and bare ground. Bare ground patches cover your lower legs as if you're standing in tall grass, but the grassy area's behave like bare ground should. lol -Skills seem to be screwy for Sally. Stealth Exploration when used has the icon and behavior of Loud Exploration. When Loud Exploration is used, has icon and behaviors of some other skill that has a sword with a red background. -When battle take extended amounts of time, rather than the same track looping, another battle music track starts. Dunno if this accidental or intentional or limitation of engine. -Noticed a lot of signs that have no context or interactivity. Again, not sure if that's intentional or lack of time. Also, some other minor notes and observations -Are you able to add throwing animations or extra sprites for throwing of grenades and bombs? -Can there be a second Jerry sprite (overlay) that makes him blind or eye closed when big eye is taken out? That's all I noticed from playing up to the beginning of chapter 2. It's still looking great and really enjoying it! Oh, and victory pose Sally sprite is still adorable as evar!

1. Yes I'm aware of that tree issue ^^; I'll be replacing those trees soon. 2. I'll look into that ^^ 3. I'm not sure which texture you mean by bare ground but I'll test them and see what's going on. 4. Stealth Exploration doesn't have any similar behavior to loud. It does share the icon which can be confusing, I understand that, and after battle the exp wont show up different than normal but rest assured the exp is given at 25% of normal. Loud Exploration also plays as intended, however I gave it a sword icon to indicate the player's intention to fight and gain more exp. 5. What battles specifically switch to another track after awhile? The normal battles, Dungeon battles, Mini-boss battles or Boss battles? Any specific fight? How much time specifically does it take to switch to another track? And is this new track different than the original? 6. All signs have some dialogue, though perhaps some are bugged to be blank. I'd need to know which ones aren't showing anything when interacting with them. 7. We'll be working more on battle animtations at a later date. Right now we're focusing on level design and using base engine assets until we can make our own. We'll be doing that eventually. 8. The blind icon does its job for the time being. Thanks for the questions and reports! Let me know about those things I mentioned and I'll look into the others. Edit: I will add that some mini-bosses will change its theme when you get the boss low enough.

Played the recent release right now as of this typing and let me just say that this is the making of a great game. Heck, the current build of this game is a great game despite it not be finished!! I'm enjoying what you guys are making and it's clear all the hard work and free time is NOT going to waste on this game. The music is great, props to the composer, the game design is good. ---While the 32 bit character were a turn off to me at first they're starting to warm up to me. -Gameplay wise, it’s great and I see the balance you guys are going for with each of the character. The combo mechanic is a great addition but If I could give any advice that I can think of right now is that the combos or be changed up to have different results because I see some ideas that involve the combos like how Sally’s attack stat went up. -The battles are challenging and I love them for it through it does get tedious after some time but same would be said for most RPG. Really glad that choosing to escape happens with no problem at all. Overall, the only thing I didn’t like is that I’m not donating more to you guys. I’m grateful to donate money to you people so that you can keep working on this game. I can’t wait for the next release and to see how far this goes.
