Brainstorming. First-take designs, just ideas.

In order from left to right:

Captain Ludwig, a pirate captain that sails the Arctic circle in search for trouble. Considers himself a ‘beast of the Arctic’. His ship is called “Little Maria”, stylised after a viking ship and he treats it like his own daughter.

Detective Kirwin, a local Detective.

Talbot, a guy who goes around posturing as a doctor and alchemist and sells chady medicine, a snake oil salesman basically.

Unnamed farm lady who may or may not be a cannibal.

Felix, a hunter.

Old man De Lacey, a hermit in the woods.

Proff. Waldman and Proff Krempe, science professors.

Man/wolf chimera design.

Unnamed collector, an artist who travels and collects ‘strange’ and ‘exotic’ objects, designs and creatures, considers herself an ‘enthusiast of the unconventional’.

I feel like I got slapped with a bunch of characters and I don't know which one to look at first. They all look super cool and while you may change the design in the future, this is really cool. Note 1. I feel like those teachers will have a problem with Vic. Note 2. The cannibal girl or not-> is cute (I must escape) Note 3. The chimera of the werewolf / man that I find disturbing because of the human face (excellent work) Final note. I really don't know how you came up with so many ideas for different characters, this is really amazing, just look at those designs ♥.

Some notes for the designs! 1) His outfit is great, I love the browns, blues, and whites. His face seems out of place though. It looks like that scarf he's wearing could be used to cover up most of his face so that'd be good. I think part of it is that his skin tone blends in too much with the rest of his outfit 2) The design is a bit boring, which would be fine if he's a minor character. I think it'd help if you added stuff to the lower half because there's a lot of empty space 3) I like his fake beard and his cane, the idea of him pretending to be an oldman makes me think that he's a successful conman. I think you could push this idea further, have him wear a fake beard and glasses. 4) I really like how ominous her design is. Though I didn't get farm lady when I looked at her, I think you could scuff up her outfit a bit more 5) I feel like there could be more contrast in his outfit to make the bandages on his face/his fox thing stand out more 6) For an old man who lives in the woods, his clothes look a bit too normal. Maybe there could be some patches, or maybe he keeps supplies on him for wilderness things 7/8) I don't have much to say on them because there's not much going on with their designs. If they're relevant I feel like the designs should be more interesting 9) I LOVE how grotesque this design is. I feel like you could push the human aspect of the body horror a bit more, because when I look at this creature I mostly see wolf besides the human head 10) Again, I really like her design. But I do feel like you could make the colors of her outfit weirder to push her weirdness

Thank you for the feedback! I agree that the old hermit and hunter-dude can have more detail, I kinda threw out these designs as first takes just to get the basic idea out, but I'll definitely add more patchwork to the hermit and something to the hunterguy. The detective is mostly minor but I might add something to his upper half. With the wolf guy, I tried to make the torso look human? Like a human belly infused into the wolf but it just looks like a shaved wolf belly haha, I might add more human to his limbs. The final lady gave me so much trouble cuz i absolutely suck when there's lots of colours, i think i could put a pattern onto her coat or smthn
