Dr Brier Lanchester majors in biochemistry and is in charge of a scientific society stationed in England that aims to uncover and manipulate all secrets of life. It's a bit of a twisted and secret branch of the Royal Society, where they experiment with more 'unorthodox' means.

Her education history is unknown and nobody really recalls exactly how she rose to power, but she is very well respected amongst her peers (partially because of her intellect and partially because she just,,, has ways of getting people on her side). She's quite a micromanager.
