Godannar Cosplay (Patreon)

Shinkon Gattai Godannar was a fun (if incredibly fanservice-y) mecha anime back in 2003. I rewatched it recently and felt like drawing something Godannar-themed with the girls, so I replicated some of the promo arts to see how it'd look :)

It's...possible that I may have gone a bit too detailed here and there, but eh.

As for the in-universe explanation for them wearing these outfits; Fran, Sam, and Katie are all cosplayers to varying degrees, and Fran in particular loves her mecha anime and wanted to re-enact those same promo arts. So we have Fran as Aoi Anna, Sam as Lou Roux, and Katie as Fujimura Shizuru.
(Let's just pretend that the characters in the show were anthropomorphic as well, but honestly, we're just gonna hand-wave that.)

I'm tempted to do more of these, especially since a lot of those key visuals tend to have Lou messing with Anna's outfit in some way, which just fits Sam to a tee with her messing with Fran. I'll probably work on some other things first, rather than milk this theme too much, though.
