Sometimes while working on a piece, you may find yourself feeling like you're not making any real progress, or things you'll know that you've done a lot but it's difficult to see the effort that went into it up to that point.

And then you complete one step and it suddenly feels like you've made a massive breakthrough and and all that effort suddenly becomes apparent visually.

I didn't feel like I'd got much done on this over the weekend, despite making various changes and cleaning up/finalising numerous aspects of the sketch work. But as soon as I'd got that sky painted up, it all came together and now it feels like I can actually finish this piece. There's still a long way to go with it since there are sooo many layers I have to deal with, but it seems far less daunting now.

I guess what I'm saying is to keep on pushing through, or change up the order you usually approach things to get yourself a win in the process. It's a good boost of morale to keep you motivated!

Looks fantastic, man! Glad you're feeling good about it, cos the WIPs have been a joy to look at :D I need to try and internalise that advice, too. Got a real mental barrier I need to break down and get drawing again, heh.
