It will be a while... I've gotten all the backgrounds and basic animations done, so I'm planning to compile that into something playable for $10 patrons, but after that I still need to do all the actual squashing moves, and that's not even getting into the bossfight.

He never likes to say when it will be done, but knowing him, I bet 2 months for the regular level grabs, 2 weeks for coding those grabs, 1 month for boss level and basic animations, 1 month for boss grabs, 1 month for bug fixing and such. I figure final level comes out early 2020
