As much as I despise Jiren for being such a MEH antagonist in what's supposed to be the greatest tournament arc in the multiverse, I'm glad he at least still ranks in the top 5 strongest here when all is said and done, for consistency's sake. That makes me wonder though: I know the ToP arc is WAAAAAAAY far off from where you are now, but do you plan on trying to do anything with Jiren's laughably non-existent backstory at all? Or are we just gonna lampshade how terrible it is?

😰GEH!! Somebody beat me to it, I’ve been wondering about it too but but left it unasked I kinda wrote it off as an unspoken Faith in Write that he would know what direction to take Jiren’s Story in the Golden Age Universe

I don't think Jiren is nearly as bad a character as lot of people say he is, especially for a DB character, but I do agree his backstory is dogwater. A lot of the fan theories I saw about him when the arc was getting started would've been a lot more interesting.

I'm glad you showed Piccolo some love, since it doesn't seem like Toriyama or Toyotarou are going to any time soon. I like Piccolo much more than I do Gohan these days. Unless he's being written by Toyotarou with his dogshit dialogue ("veGeTa's nevEr beEn oNe tO misjUdge hiS opPonEnt's strEnGth!").

Out of ALL the Dragonball Super villains written so far from Beerus to Moro, Jiren is the only one I believe is competently written. Sure his backstory is shallow and cliche, but it's the only one that is believable and isn't backed up by a character that is annoying.

I do eventually plan on writing a more cohesive backstory for the fan, since I believe he is one that definitely deserves one that suits his character.

Though if you were to give Gohan a God form what would it look like and what abilities you'd give him ? I've been meaning to ask that and your opinion on the God Ki concept as a whole

I never liked God ki. The way they introduced it at the start made it very cool, but at the same time a rule breaker that was very inconsistent. On one hand it is very powerful, since Beerus set the bar for it, but by the end of DBS it doesn't matter if you have God ki or not, because if you train enough you can be as strong as a SSJ God. Also, the Saiyan ritual to achieve the first form is very cumbersome, yet for some reason Vegeta never needed to do it to get God ki.

And since Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue are pretty much just jacked up Super Saiyan forms with different hair colours, Gohan wouldn't gain any unique abilities. It just amplifies his strength greater than before. Plus there is enough fanart online that shows him in both forms. Which is why I prefer he follow his own path in gaining strength.
