[Dragonball Z Golden Age - Chapter 2 - Bojack Unbound (Part 1) - COMPLETE]

Here it is folks. The cover for Chapter 2 of my Golden Age series. I know a lot of you have been waiting for this one- me showing how Gohan and Zangya first met (and of course how he meets Celipa, but I promise to cover that in the next arc. I swear it). However, my revisiting and revising of the Bojack Unbound isn't just about Gohan meeting Zangya.

While their first meeting itself is a momentous moment in the Golden Age timeline, what I did to the Bojack Unbound story was make it even better than the movie. In crafting this chapter/arc of the Golden Age timeline, what I attempted to do was turn the Bojack Unbound movie from a forgettable OVA with no relevance to the story into a series milestone and an important stepping stone in Gohan's new character arc, to help further his journey into becoming Earth's new hero. To help ease him into the role as Earth's new protector.

This movie not only introduces a new cast of villains with awesome individual designs to the DBZ universe (albeit an abysmal amount of personality or relevance beyond their abilities and power levels), but my revised version of the movie as you will soon see, also features encounters such as Gohan's first meeting with Videl, in which he meets someone for the first time his own age who he forms a deep connection with due to shared interests and past experiences. The tournament also involves Android 18, who like Videl was absent from the original movie and is there not only for the promise of winning money, but to also try and interact with Krillin (and by proxy interact with Gohan if you so wish to imagine), whom saved her from Cell. She progresses through the tournament with the Z-fighters, and in the main battle ALL of the Z-fighters for the first time work together to defeat a common enemy. Unlike in the movie, where all the reinforcements stupidly rush Bojack while forgetting about his lackeys, all of whom are as equally powerful as him, but all the Z-fighters for the first time rely on each other to take out the minions. In fact, the main players you see fighting Bojack's minions and who each of them end up defeating can be seen in the cover above.

This is a big turning point for all the Z-fighters, not only establishing Gohan as the new protector of Earth in place of his father, but it also boosts the confidence of all the Z-fighters, showing all of them that they each have worth as fighters and members of the team.

Of course, I'll be getting more into this comic later. First I have to finish some other projects. Hopefully you guys enjoy the cover and the promise of the fic to come.
