Okay, this is where another portion of the story gets very, very real, and very, very grim.

About a month after the Bojack Saga, Gohan, Zangya, and Piccolo go with Future Trunks back to his time to see if they can find Namek to use their dragon balls to wish their friends and everyone who was killed by the androids back to life.

Unfortunately, when they arrive, they discover Babidi in the process of resurrecting Majin Buu. He eventually succeeds in resurrecting Buu, and since this is an alternate timeline we have an alternate Buu. This version of Buu absorbed the West Supreme Kai first, as a result turning him into a slender, female Super Buu that was eventually sealed.

Gohan and co end up fighting her, but they are unable to defeat Buu by overpowering her. This leads to this moment, where Gohan undergoes one of the more defining moments of his young life after Cell...

I've seen these pages before on Write's Twitter, but when I read them now, the moment that Gohan turned Super Saiyan 3 after witnessing Future Buu kill Future Chi-Chi, I imagined "Contest of Rivals" from the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot soundtrack playing.

Okay I know there is a martial art that can cancel ki, but looking at page 7 of this makes me think how that is even possible!? I mean that was seen from SPACE how can someone who can cancel out ki or something even be able to stop something like that, I genuinely wanna know.

There are many methods enemies in this universe can subvert Ki users. In Reinas case, she can completely redirect Ki and cancel it out. She tunes her body to the Ki frequency, allowing her to be immune to the Ki trying to harm her. In simple terms, she tricks the Ki into thinking she is an invulnerable object and it passes around her harmlessly. When she takes hold of it, she can send the force away from her, even if it's targeting the planet, using her body. In Scorchs case, he just eats Ki like a black hole sucking in matter.
