A few people on twitter asked me a few questions how my Buu Saga went and whether Gohan does better against Buu than the series. Bear in mind my Golden Age story is a lot bigger and more complex than anything Akira could've dreamt up on his best day.

This picture pretty much sums up how much the difficulty level spikes for the Z-fighters in my Golden Age series when the Buu Saga comes around.

To find out how this all turned out, I'll summarize it all for you below: (SPOILERS FOR GOLDEN AGE post-Bojack Arc)

A couple months after the Cell Games and the Intergalactic Martial Arts Tournament (after Bojack appears and Zangya joins Gohan's group), Gohan, Zangya, and Piccolo travel to Future Trunks' time with the Saiyan from the Future to see if they can locate the Planet Namek and use the Namekian dragon balls to wish all the people who'd been killed by the Androids back to life, including the Z-fighters (but not Goku, because he died of the heart virus, which is considered a natural death by the dragon).

When they arrive, they immediately discover half the population of Earth has been taken over by Babidi, who is using them to syphon energy to hatch Buu from his egg. A conflict unfolds where Gohan, Zangya, Piccolo, and all the Z-fighters left in Trunks's apocalyptic future, including Master Roshi, Chi-Chi, Launch, Mr. Popo, Yajirobi, Oolong, Future Bulma, and the remains of Earth's army fights against Babidi's army until Future Buu is released (the female Buu you all may have seen in my Brotherly Love and Fiery Lake comics. I've been dropping tidbits of this battle in all of the works I've published).

After they defeat Babidi here and successfully locate Namek, Gohan, Zangya and Piccolo return to their timeline and try to track down Babidi, but he is nowhere to be found. In THEIR timeline, Babidi has joined forces with Android 21, and together they work in secret and in hiding to create a perfect Magic God, one that can be controlled through science and magic, and can be used to overthrow Beerus.

When the World Tournament eventually comes 7 Years later (after the Battles with Scorch, Reina, and the first Cthulu conflict), during Gohan and Goku's match at the tournament, Babidi and Android 21 drop down on top of the stadium in a surprise attack to capture all the Z-fighters.

I haven't completely polished up this arc of my Golden Age fanfic summary, but this is pretty much how it goes down.

If you haven't noticed, not only are Android 21 and Babidi working together, but Babidi has also released and enslaved Hirudegarn, and Android 21 has not only converted Colonel Violet (Dragonball) into an Android, but has also resurrected Raditz and converted him into an Android as well. Each of the Androids are far more powerful than Perfect Cell ever was, meaning that the troubles for the Z-fighters has escalated.

I was always disappointed that we never saw other characters from previous Dragonball arcs have more significant impacts on events in the future. Like Launch, Colonel Violet was forgotten by Akira, and Raditz was introduced and then killed off pointlessly without any growth or development beyond his first fight. Having both of them, Raditz in particular, appear as an Android later not only provides the groundwork for some interesting character development to happen for Raditz, but also reignites his shaky and unpleasant first encounter with the family he had on Earth, particularly with his brother Goku and nephew Gohan. It's this very twisted idea of having a family member of the heroes get resurrected as a weapon to be used to kill them that creates a whole new set of layers for a story and universe stagnating with ideas, and I always like toying with the concept that perhaps the Dragonball Z series would've benefited a lot if perhaps a loved one of Goku or his friends could be abducted by Doctor Gero or Android 21 to be converted into an android assassin to later be sent to kill them.
