Hey everyone! Sorry that I didn't publish this map last week. I was very busy with some commissions, and didn't have to time to finish this one. Anyway, let me present to you the Agora of Pifor, the second map for the Markets & Streets theme. This map is released alongside the Preic Temple map, from the Daniel's Maps backlog. These two maps work very well together!

In the ancient heart of the city of Pifor the Great lies the Agora of Pifor, a large meeting place in the centre of Pifor. In this agora you'll find a all sorts of public buildings, from bathhouses, to Preic shrines and temples, Callaeran churches, but also artisans and craftsmen. Amidst all of that, there is enough space for a large market where one can find trinkets from all across southern Wordal.

In the ancient past, the Agora was were the king adressed the people of Pifor, as well as a place for religious ceremonies. Later, after the fall of Parretoa, it became a gathering place for all sorts of occasions. When the Merchant Republic of Assaen and later the Republic of Callaern conquered the last free Preic city, it was one of the few cities in Preica that had not been sacked or burned down in the past millennia. Therefore, many of the ceremonial buildings still stand tall and proud.

The new overlords, while upholding a policy of religious and cultural tolerance, started converting old Preic buildings into Callaeran churches. It is a strange sight to see the old temples, adorned with Callaeran spires and towers, next to Preic shrines and monuments.

Among these architectural wonders is a great market with numerous lines of stalls and stands, performing artists and wonderful music. It is truly a place in which you can get lost.
