I believe this filler is a tie-in with the film gold movie, boom you were very confused in the inbtween punk hazard and dressrosa filler, and also very confused when you saw the other straw hats at the end of dressrosa but you were meant to be confused. Hope this help XD

I don't mind you watching the fillers, I actually find them fun and yea between arcs they just take some of the heavyness and its a fun time, and sometimes in those fillers there are some canon stuff hidden, like you said. At the begining of 747 its canon up to the point where Luffy woke up. So grandma is canon and hopefully has a role in the future lol I also have nothing against the idea if you wanna watch filler pre-skip as a break before you catch up
