whenever you are caught up with the anime you should watch the time matt owens (the showrunner) appeared on a livestream event with a bunch of one piece youtubers and spoke about how he met oda and got involved with the live action, it really helped alleviate the concerns of a bunch of us seeing just how big a fan matt is of one piece.

I am still apprehensive over this. Hollywood and others don't exactly have a good track record for live action adaptations of anime. But, if anything can and should break that mold, it needs to be One Piece. Just got to wait and see.
