Y'all know me by now and I'm weird. I like coming up with tier ideas that get the community more involved. And lately, I've had more people reaching out asking if I could focus on one show more than another. Unfortunately, with time constraints, that can be tough.

That being said, I was wondering what y'all though of a new set of tiers, we'll still keep the old ones, but the new would be a series specific tier, and the amount of patrons we get on that tier for the month, is the amount of episodes that I'll do for that series. Example, I create a FMA Brotherhood tier, some people switch their tiers from the normal Major League tier to the new FMAB tier and their suggestion would just become a FMAB episode reaction. So if that tier got 12 patrons, I would do 12 episodes. The tiers would also be priced the same as the current ones so there isn't any kind of favoritism. The series specific tiers would remain uncapped though.(unless y'all get crazy)

Like I said before, the original suggestion tiers would still be there, but for those that would like a more focused approach, this might be a better option for you.

Tiers I'm thinking of creating: Slime, Death Note, FMAB, Mushoku Tensei, Hunter X Hunter

I love the idea, I just worry about burnout and things, but if you're sure you can handle the extra workload and limit the tiers successfully (this is not the word I'm trying to think of but still running on no sleep so sorry) go for it.

It's not actually going to be extra work, as most will just transition their tier from one to the other.

Some of y'all really voting Yes AND No...

I love the idea so everyone can have the shows they want but with a reasonable pace. And since OP is a core, wouldn't be affected, right? I would choose Death Note :) Great idea, looking forward to it! Just plan it right so you don't get overwhelmed. I am a patreon only for OP since I don't like so many other shows but I am excited when one that I like arrives. Sadly, my tastes although kinda mainstream, not popular right now among YT and Patreon users. May I recommend Mirai Nikki? (The future diary). It's an amazing watch and I think you'd enjoy it

I mean we could currently already do this so I don't think this is a needed change but I would not say it is a bad thing. Just be careful since you might just get a month of an entire series. Also what would be done for the patreons that switched over but were excess of the series? Do they lose their requests for the month or get to choose another and if so who gets to choose?

Huh? Not really sure what you mean. I wouldn't create the tiers until the beginning of next month. People could still do the normal suggestion tier if it's available. Getting a month of an entire series wouldn't really bother me, especially when they're series that I know people would watch. Almost all suggestions that aren't mainstream choices are only watched by the person doing the suggestion. So taking the time to react to something that I know more people would watch would be fine with me. Anyone that's already paid for a request wouldn't lose one. Don't really see how that would be possible.

Making them uncapped is a recipe for biting off more than you can chew. Each patron in that tier means an extra episode on top of the cap for the viewer suggestion tiers. At the very least, you would have to cap them, and subtract from the viewer suggestion tier's cap to keep it at a manageable amount. For example, what would happen if a whole bunch of $5 tier people (just like 20 people) joined the uncapped series tiers and all the viewer suggestion people just stayed where they were? Here's what I suggest for focusing how many series you watch: Make the viewer suggestion tiers use polls instead of having them choose one or two episodes of specific shows. The tiers that can suggest a number of episodes, can vote that many times on the poll instead. (I believe this is a feature built in to patreon but I could be mistaken.) And most importantly: You can choose which series go on the poll each month! You could choose all of them yourself. You could make another poll to decide, and open that poll up to all patrons, or even wider: to the whole community. You could even do something like hosting a monthly video game tournament or game night on stream to decide what's on the poll! Or some combination of all of these. There's a ton of possibilities. This way, you don't have to keep track of the plot lines of 10+ different series at once. You're watching the things you most want to watch. You have the ability to speed up shows or binge more of a show by adding it to the poll. And it opens up a lot of possibilities for community involvement!

Right now, you have your main series, and you have a crap-ton of different unfinished viewer suggestion series. The number of different viewer suggestion series just keeps going up every month. You can only watch each of those series, once a MONTH, and then you have a month long break from that series. I don't know about you, but unless one series particularly stood out from the others, I'd definitely forget what happened in last-months episode.
