These episodes Man. It's more painful to watch because of how sudden it was coming. On 402 they are fighting the Pacifista and then in 3 episodes Kizaru comes to battle the Straw Hats and Rayleigh saves them from him and then the real Kuma comes. The Voice Acting in the last episode of this is some of the best sad Voice Acting I have heard in Anime especially the Luffy scene at the end. There are only 2 filler episodes and then you see the next arc. Watching Sabaody again for me just shows how good this one is just because I can watch it 100 times and I don't get bored of it and it's always hard to not start crying again. It's such a terrible day for rain...

I've literally re-watched One Piece several times and I still cried like a baby. Just seeing Luffy look so scared and hopeless was devastating.

Imma tell you that Kid's Devil Fruit is magnetism. Oda never revealed his powers in the manga cause he forgot but the name of his fruit is the Jiki Jiki no mi or Magnet Magnet fruit

- Congrats on reaching the first major turning point in the One Piece story. Just be glad you're not watching this weekly, as the anime took two weeks off for filler after this. - Sentomaru refers to Kizaru as "Uncle" in more of a mob boss sort of honorific; they're not related. - Did you catch the parallel with Nami once again asking Luffy to help her, just like in Arlong Park? Except this time he can't. - The flashbacks for each crew member are in reverse chronological order to when they joined.

I said it 12 years ago and I'll say it again. One Piece deserves to sit on the shelf right next to Dune and LOTR, because what Dune did for science fiction and LOTR did for fantasty, One Piece did for adventure series.

Also because someone before me mentioned Arlong Park, if you look closely the main tower of the Sabaody Park, where the "Sabaody Park" is written on, looks exactly like the Arlong Park main tower with the same placement of the writing and such

SO LIKE that episode breaks my heart so much, from Luffy’s complete helpless breakdown to the way everyone is so desperate to save each other… and tbh it is not in the top 10 episodes that make me ugly sob and heave. Also your appreciation for the imagery and symbolism, and all your lil jokes and metaphors are just 👍🏼👍🏼
