Ah, yes. The Fate series. Aka one of the most confusing franchise out there. At first it was a visual novel, which branches out into three different "routes". Meaning they all start the same way, but start to diverge by the end of the first chapter. And later came out a prequel in the form of a Light Novel by the name of Fate/Zero. Then we got a kinda shitty anime adaptation around 2006, which I think is a mix of the first two routes, and should be ignored. Then the prequel, Fate/Zero got its anime adaptation in 2011, and it's pretty awesome. Then we got UBW in 2014, which you just watched, which covers the original VN's second route. And finally we got a movie trilogy which covers the third route. Some people will tell you to watch Zero first, some to watch UBW first, none are wrong. Some will even tell you not to ignore the 2006 anime. Imo Zero is less confusing for someone who knows nothing about this universe. If it were youtube, there would be a war in the comments right now. I do have my gripes with the franchise, but the universe is pretty interesting, and the animation is some of the best an anime can offer.

lol I can understand your confusion. This is actually the second episode, the first episode is episode 0. All good since i'mma upgrade to the next tier for that one. Ep 0 is titled prologue, so the show goes from ep 0 - ep 25.
