BRUH YES. One of my all time fav sports series.

That intermission riff (and the rest of the OST) is by Tsuneo Imahori, the guy who did Trigun's OST. (which also had a RIGHTEOUS freaking riff as the intermission) Lots of similarities to the Trigun OST with dirty toned guitar and trippy rhythms and oboe/clarinet quartets.
