Silly Boom you know better, you really expect to go into a flashback in this show and not have your feelings eviscerated? Still, there are a lot of small touches that show that while yeah, the WG are bastards, not all people who serve the WG are, that judge was going to let Tom off from the, admittedly BS, charge of building the Oro Jackson for what he's done and did seem to be.... about as fair as a judge working under the WG laws can be. But then you have the ones actually in charge of things and the massive, raging twat-waffles they directly employ to do their dirty work....

The sad arc takes another one... best by another box of tissues! I really like the flashback espeically when you see characters like the twins and Paulie growing up. Amazing reactions as always Sean! Thing are ramping up and the world continues to expand.

Everytime I hear Merry's voice in Usopp's skypeia flashback scene here, I fucking get choked up. It's such an earnest, childlike voice that it just puts a nail in my heart.

- You might be the only reactor to note Mozu and Kiwi on the inaugural Puffing Tom voyage, but not a peep about young Paulie chasing the train as it leaves. XD You can catch a brief glimpse of a young Zambai (lead Franky Family thug) and Pandaman, too. BTW, this is one case where the anime goofed a little. Paulie should be 12 in the flashback, whereas Mozu (straight hair) and Kiwi (curly hair) are 7 and 8, respectively. The anime made Paulie look too young and Mozu & Kiwi look too old during that scene. - Another detail the anime glossed over a little was why there's a 4-year time skip between the flashbacks in 248 and 249. To clarify, the flashback in 248 started 22 years ago. Then, Tom got 10 years' probation to build the Sea Train, and it took him the full 10 years, so the 248 flashback ended 12 years ago. The start of 249 is 8 years ago because Tom then got another 4 years of probation to complete the rail system between Water 7 and the other islands plus Enies Lobby, so the flashbacks span 14 years in total. Franky is currently 34; he went from 12 to 22 years old in the first flashback, and he's 26 in the second one. - Twat-waffles, lol. If that's the unit of dickery we're using, Spandam is at least a case of them.

LOL I just wanna say (now that I've had a reprieve from weeping to this video and the one before it), the first time I ever heard/used the term "Twatwaffle" was back when I played FFXI and I think I was the one who said it on linkshell chat - anyhow, a friend said "What kind of syrup would you use with that?" and I about died. (tbf I was a child back then and everything naughty was hilarious). Anyway THAT was a memory lol. Also. This is just getting started :D Buckle up and keep the tissues on hand.
