My favorite sports manga/anime are Slam Dunk(STONE COLD CLASSIC by the mangaka who draws Vagabond), Eyeshield 21(american football...in JAPAN), Hajime no Ippo(STONE COLD BOXING CLASSIC that's still running since the early 90s), and despite-all-my-instincts-telling-me-don't-jump-on-the-hype-kyu-train-but-i-did-anyway-and-now-i'm-super-glad-i-did-because-it's-amazing-and-in-depth-and-fucking-awesome-HAIKYU

These openings are so good. I really like this series as a whole. Sometimes it gets a little unrealistic to the point where my suspension of disbelief gets stretched slightly too far. It still tells a good story though and has a ton of really likeable characters.
