Great series. Banger openings. Im not a huge fun but loves season 1. Season 1 part 1 is just Tokyo Ghoul. Season 1 part 2 is Tokyo Ghoul A. Season 2 is Tokyo Ghoul:re. Thanks the easiest way to describe it imo. You can also separate A and RE into their own ( continuing shows) but it the same story. Not sure if the series is done or not. To be clear, the series can be split into two sections: Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul Re. Both of these consist of two seasons. They are intended to be watched in the listed order, at least by the studio. Tokyo Ghoul season 1 is faithful to the manga, rest assured. Season 2 (otherwise known as Root A) deviates somewhat but returns to the manga later on. There is also the matter of the OVAs; Jack and Pinto, released in that order. These were intended to be watched before Tokyo Ghoul Re. Tokyo Ghoul Re season 1 and 2 both follow the manga, although they are generally not considered great adaptations on the whole. I hope my addled brain makes sense here.

No I get what you're saying. This is what others were kind of alluding to in the YouTube comments but didn't elaborate like you did. So thanks for doing that, I have a better understanding of it now.
