No, the reveal that Eren ate his dad comes at the very start of ep 43, when Historia and Rod Reiss touch Eren. I recommend a rewatch of that scene. So Grisha was already a titan shifter, ate Frieda Reiss to steal her power, then turned Eren into a titan and let Eren eat him. This way, he gave Eren both his own powers and Frieda's. As a result, Grisha and Frieda memories lie somewhere in Eren, which is why touching him gave Eren the flashback as well as Historia, who suddenly remembered Frieda.
