Something I bring up from time to time, is my desire to work on a VR recreation of Disney's America Sings. Such a project WAS actually happening, for a time (during the pandemic shutdown), but unfortunately seems to have fizzled out. So I'm back to wanting to put my own spin on it, rather than trying to create it exactly as it was.

I'd actually drawn a model sheet of these guys a while back, but I think that was a bit premature. First I need to experiment, a little - I'd like to do something more stylized than the animatronics, while still keeping them recognizable. The biggest challenge might be how to make them look fluffy, without having to create a vast amount of feather cards.

Short-term, I'm looking at these and other AS characters as just something to have fun with and maybe get some of my mojo back. It hasn't just been my desire to draw that's taken a hit, over the past year or so, but my desire to animate, as well.

I'm biased, but your renditions are way more appealing.

question is, can I translate any of the appeal to 3D? After I re-learn 3D sculpting for like the 5th time, I need to experiment with feather cards and Disney-like textures. Or throw money at someone who can already do those things.
