Post-Hurricane Update (Patreon)

Still alive! My phone's connection has been spotty at best, though, so getting messages to the outside world has been difficult.

Considering our house is only about 1000 ft from the Peace River in Punta Gorda - and we're not far from the coast, either - damage was surprisingly minor. We lost a screen door. That's all. We were worried when our street started to flood, but those waters never reached the house.

Now it's another waiting game. Waiting for power to be restored (it's being worked on, at least!), then waiting for the cable lines to be reconnected, for internet. The power may take days, but if the internet takes much longer, I may need to fly back up to Michigan so I can get back to work. The biggest problem there will be getting to the airport. The area just to the north of us is flooded, and I-75 is currently closed through there. Gasoline will be a more immediate concern.

Now might be a good time to work on either the comic or something for Halloween. I've got plenty of time on my hands, and I'm bored out of my skull... but I'm also concerned about my game work. My employers know the situation, and so far have been understanding. That doesn't put my mind completely at ease, though.
