This image might not look like much, but it's the result of my latest rigging script - run the command, and it spits out this structure, which can then be fitted to a character's foot.  The green crosshairs are the pivots, and the blue shapes will be the controls.  Once everything's in place, another command - which I still need to write - will build the actual rig.

...and I thought I was done with scripting!  I also thought Daisy was further along, but then I tried my spine script on her...  Now it looks like I should've had her core rig in place while I was adjusting her skin weights.  I don't know if the problem is just that the weights need more tweaking, that she needs corrective joints, or that maybe her spine joints just aren't in the right place...  whatever the case, hopefully it won't take too long to sort out.


The frustrating thing about all of this, is that I'm convinced I don't have time for it.  Apart from this month's commissions, I'm expecting a contract soon.  The contract was due "in a couple weeks" a couple weeks ago, but so far I haven't heard anything.  My boss also knows I'll be in Michigan for a few days starting Wednesday, so I doubt I'll hear anything until I get back.
