What might have been (Patreon)

I was hoping my final assignment for this month would be easy enough that I'd have time for my Halloween idea, but nothing has ever been easy with this client...

I may try to recycle some or all of this later, but for now, here is what I had planned -

Page 1

• Viewed from over Mary's shoulder, customers and staff at the diner are freaking out as she enters. Daisy has her back turned, so she doesn't see what everyone is screaming about.  And neither does the reader, with how the shot is framed.
• Daisy turns around as Mary is sitting down at the bar... her eyes go wide when she sees the wolf-like face looking back at her.
• Daisy screams as she steps back, and slips off of her platform.
• From Daisy's perspective on the floor, Mary peeks over the bar to see that she's okay.
• Mary wonders what "all the fuss" is about, when she finally notices she's in her werewolf form.  "Oh. Right.  We're still doing the thing where this ain't canon..."

• Mary is still looking over the bar at Daisy, when Mercy comes around the corner for a refill of her coffee.
• Seeing Daisy passed out on the floor, Mercy wants to know what happened.
• Mary starts to fill her in, but then stops when she notices how calm Mercy is.  Gesturing to her face, Mary asks her "how are you not freaked out by THIS?!"
• Mercy - either refilling her coffee or checking on Daisy - rolls her eyes.  "Oh please, you're not even the tenth scariest or weirdest thing I've seen this morning!"
