August Update (Patreon)

It's a new month, so what might I have planned?  I'm actually in a bit of a holding pattern.  As I type this, I'm expecting to hear back on two contracts soon.  If I get either of them, I may just shut off billing for the month.  If I get neither, then I'll need to have a backup plan or two.

Daisy's rig is something I've been meaning to get back to, but I'm not in the mood for it at the moment.  I'd have to put it back on hold if I get one of these contracts, so why bother?  And then there's the fact that it was one of primary factors to my getting burned out recently, particularly since tech work always gives me art block.  Perhaps I should turn my attention to the comic then, and try to finish another chapter done before returning to the rig?

The Dark Corner follow-up is mostly scripted, but needs to be thumbnailed.  After that, I'll need to make sure all of the dialogue will actually fit.  To make the whole thing easier, I'm also debating whether I should use color more sparingly this time.

My other recent ideas - a game and 2.5D animation - may need to wait.  Both would require a fair bit of study and technical work, and would distract from the things I can do right now.
