Howdy folks! This update includes the previously patron-only release of the final Leo ending (Ending A), and a brand new Flynn update. Abyuse has recently created nearly a dozen track for use in Echo, and the first of which appears in this update.

With the conclusion of Leo's route, that means TJ will start seeing updates again in the release schedule. The sprite for Julian has been completed and will be debuted next month.

The ending for Leo really spoke to me, and really hit hard. It felt so realistic, the pain, and it still does even after 4 days after playing it. I was really hopping that by picking some right choices or by knowing stuff from other character endings, I would be able to save him. Not only good or bad ending, but a ending with him. I just feel that I was not really able to save him. But even with this ending, I still felt that 2 things were not really well developed. 1º The escape from the mines with the voice and 2º The sudden apperance of Flynn. Both the 1º and 2º felt a bit rushed, and could have a bit more content.

i try to find every bad ending of every choose... i get stabbed, gunshotted in my head, die from esplosion and i find my legs chopped by the train cause the wolf, couldn-t wait to be out of echo, but want him there even if he is without legs now.

Just finished Leo's route. And that inspired me to become a patron (wanted to go all the way to $100 per month, but remembered, that I'm broke right now :D). Well, the ending was... intense. Both Leo's endings in fact. And I still can't understand when exactly all this slow melodramatic 'reuniting with ex-boyfriend' narrative with vague 'Stephen King' vibes in background transformed into the action/horror/madness packed story, which sometimes made me frantically pacing my room, shouting 'What the fuck?!' To be clear, I played Leo's route before only till the diner scene, where Duke appears, waving the gun, so even if everything else between that moment and the ending was in previous updates, I saw it first time today. And yes, I feel kinda sad that Chase couldn't stay with Leo anyway (dying from blood loss after being run over with a train doesn't count). But what think is... maybe another route will lead to this ending. I didn't try Carl's route yet (he is not my type of guy), and TJ's route is still too short to judge, but at Flynn's route everything leads to create even more tension between Chase and Flynn, instead of bonding them. Same as Leo's route at some point creates a gap between him and Chase, which grows wider with every Leo's crazy action. So, maybe (that's just speculation though) routes are not about with whom do you want to be after the end of the story, but more about which point of view you share back there, when everybody arguing on the lake at Tuesday. Or maybe there will be some 'ultimate route' after you finish everyone else's, the one that solve all the mysteries, bring all the friends back together instead of dividing them for good this time and even, who can tell, save Echo and it's citizens from all this fucked up primal-evil-lurking-in-the-mines things once and for all. :) At least, they did it in Stephen King's 'IT' and 'Desperation', so, why not here too? :D Okay, jokes aside, though I hope that this 'ultimate route' will be in the game, I understand that authors' intentions may go other way. I just want everybody to be safe. And sane. :) p.s. Sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native language.

Is there a way to download abyuse music I really love the one where they are on the train on their way out of echo it puts me in all of the feels when i came across this novel.

Never mind I got it! yay! also wanted to leave my own opinion upon finding this novel. First and foremost awesome freaking job this had me almost hyperventilating at some parts. I'll admit I was all for leo until I found those messages. Mainly because i can relate My ex was the same way at one point. Also the location a small town in the western deserts of the US (im assuming) i love becuase ill be moving to the west soon Its stunning out there and hope to meet cool new friends like these guys they seem pretty chill. As for the spirits of echo that has me on edge so many questions. Now as for my favorite character most people really havent said is Kudzu. I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM haha. His personality of the mysterious badass with his bluntness attitude makes him more likable in my eyes. He's very good looking and when it came down to chase very caring, very affectionate or gentle to say. (bf goals one day) anyway i love his ending to be honest and kind of wish there was a side story of the two year gap of how they got together im sure it was cute as hell I'd pay good money to see that unfold no lie. When it comes down to it chase personality is like mine. I can be snarky with a smartass resonse to somethings but its harmless. When it comes down to life experiences I can relate t kudzu the most. My boyfriend wasnt killed but passed away from an illness and now im looking to get away from town and start new while im young. Even though him and chase ended up leaving echo in the long run they said they're moving a few states away like me who's technically moving across the country haha. I love the story a lot I actually reread it a lot too mainly in case if i forgot a detail or something but usually just for fun. I hope deep down there might be a side story or something after Kudzu and chase made it out of echo and how their relationship became to be within that two year gap. I would really love to see it happen plus it'll give readers a view on how that whole experience effected them. So it wouldnt just be kud and chase their the main characters yes but the others are involved too. ok im rambling as you can see I get excited about this story So great work I know you have a lot fo other projects but I hope you conisder the chase and Kudzu idea as well. Looking forward to more!

i've been absent since build 0.17 but im so looking forward to this game and story and just back to it and go with build 0.31 and i've been playing Echo for 6 days 3-5 hours each day I only just finish Leo route both endings and man this is just not that's the plot is bad is quite great even shorter than i expected and out of the way i expect it to be but the feels man, ah....why... what Leo says/express his feeling/react like i would. after chase's back to him it's so real and heartbreaking [i remember myself playing Leo route since build are end at diner with Leo but after that i finished i was hurting inside (cuz Leo it's so like me in lot of ways)for straight 2 weeks maybe more before recovered from it] i can only wish Leo deserved at least 1 real good ending this wolfman has been abused as much as chase through all the story, it's like he's been set up to have no choice at all and to his doom. i've tried all chars route since last year i'll surely go through all again. now i love this game so púchica much and hope Howly Team can finish it eventually. keep it up Howly! //i haven't played Route65 so idk if there's a prequel story about Leo and Chase to expand from main story if not i wanna see more about the time they were a kid at met each other first time, when they're at school together, when they start to love each other or in love and when chase left what happened to both side. i hope to see some side that we can see Leo perspective at each part of his life even this gonna happen or not cause i understand this take lots of time and budget you guys have just focus on finish every chars route first. *i feels bad for stop supporting since Jun 30, 2017 but im really broke right now wish i had enough money to spare* [edited] thank you for Howly Team again for not going down like blackgate did you guys didn't try to false adverstise and draw ppl in for quick cash and being thorough about your project and budget thanks for making a great game even it's not perfect but there're some potential in it.

As much as im loving the story of this novel i cant help but feel that leos route was doomed from the get go which is a bit disappointing seeing as it was my favorite route so far i just really which there was an actual good ending to leo route instead of death or chase going for someone else i just feel that through all the stress this story puts these two characters through i just want them to have and ending where they sort things out with one another because the way it is now it just sort of feels like most of leos route is a big waste where you see this relationship pick up again only for it to allways fail no matter how hard you try to stop it and try and fix it but besides that not real complaints about the story i just feel that leos good ending should have more leo in it and not kudzu who just seems to be a deus ex character in the story using him for all the plot conveniences which is a tad annoying the bad ending was good and all but for some reason the good ending seems worse than the bad one idk if it because you cant think of a way where leo and chase are happy together or the story has to have it this way or you just dont want an ending where leo and chase are happy together and if thats the case then why go so much out of the way to fully show their relationship if it doesnt really mean anything at all in the end like i said good novel just feel like the ending could do with some tweaking to make an actual good and bad ending.Edit: really hope this doesnt come of as just hate for the novel i just really wanted an ending with them together without chase dying.

Or even like a super route after all the others where chase (somehow) gets the ability to go back in time (or something like that) and save all his friends from there bad routes it would be a nice touch and definitely nothing ive ever seen done in a vn. Just some thoughts

I agree both endings were sad to me. I hope they add another ending or tweak it. Leo loved Chase and wanted to protect him. I feel like if any character should of had a happy ending it should at least be for Leo and Chase, they been through so much together. I didn't care for Kudzu as well. I feel like he was more of a side character. I Love the novel, Howly is by far my favorite visual novel writer but I hope we get a happy ending.

I wanted to stay with Leo. 😭 I just wanted to give my opinion. I feel like the good ending is the bad one. It made Chase look like a selfish jerk. Chase was gone for years after dumping Leo just to do it all over again. I feel like he messed with Leo's emotions. Yes Leo could be controlling and over protective but Chase wouldn't say anything about it. Plus Chase could not defend himself. Leo kept him safe. The ending just made me feel like he never wanted to be with him. Not giving him a straight forward answer or dumping him to go off with his neighbor. After everything they been through I hope we get a happy ending.

Yeah same here and i hope if Howly does see this what i said is not taken as hate i just feel like through all of leos route has all these twists and turns in the relationship and yeah you can see that leos not exactly 100% even before the really bad stuff starts happening but i feel that even through all of that before the really bad stuff happens it feels as though the story is trying to make sure there might be a way that they save there relationship only for the ending to take it all away they both try hard to save each other when the bad stuff first starts at the diner that i feel at the end that some parts of they story were flushed out for a waste as it goes nowhere in the end and the game basically says even though you made your decisions and fought to fix these two no matter what they are forced to stray apart and it just feels like with all that echo puts them through till the end there is no big pay of for them lasting through it i hope that at some point there will be a good ending for them because it just sort of feels like at the end leos route wasnt even his and i was hoping no matter what echo put them through that there would be just a slimmer of hope that they could get past all of it and fix things i guess in the end there never really are gonna have closure even the good ending leaves on a really bad note whether it be that the story has to have it were they cant be happy together or leo just becomes so crazy from echo and chases doppelganger (which was never explained as well) that they cant fix things and are destined to stay apart either way and while this may just seem like a lot of complaints i really do love this story as a whole and i hope that maybe at some point there may be a new or even secret route that could open up a true good ending for the two great work on the novel even though im not entirely happy with how my favorite characters route has ended i cant say that i didnt get the feels at both those ending so either way well done Howly.

Yeah Howly does a awesome job but I just feel like the ending should be different. Doppleganger in the real myth is a ghost/evil twin/bad luck. They are in a few mythology and cultures. They are something more paranormal some say you do good things and they go away they are bad luck. I think when Leo was going crazy near the end Chase should have been more worried about him and getting him out of Echo not Kudzu. Leo was his boy friend/best friend. I think if Leo got on the train it would have worked out. I didn't think Leo was that crazy even near the end. He loved Chase and wanted to protect him with the town people killing each other and Chase almost getting killed alot, I can see why he didn't trust anyone. I hope there will be a third ending. I can't play the prequel because I just get sad about the ending right now. I probably will play it someday. I just feel like Leo and Chase should of had a happy ending.
